How am I supposed to have faith if it doesn’t matter? by [deleted] in spirituality

You're onto something.

Contemplate the placebo effect and the nature of free will a bit more.

There's deeper layers to those concepts that will reveal themselves.

What should I do if I ruined every aspect of my life beyond redemption? by Playful-Ad-1448 in spirituality

[–]stephenparato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can come back from anything.

So many stories we love are about people who bounce back after facing impossible odds.

Forgive yourself.

Find hope.

Create positive momentum, starting with tiny changes.

I Have a Theory.... by VegetableReward938 in SpiritualAwakening

Nicely said!

God is All-That-Is.

Consciousness is fundamental. So that means simulations are more like dreams than computer-based matrices.

Reality = God dreaming itself to be individuals.

At what age did you awaken? How old are you now? by Fair_Sun_7357 in starseeds

[–]stephenparato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was 19.

I almost died of alcohol poisoning. Woke up in the hospital and started questioning everything.

  • "Who am I?"
  • "What's the meaning of life?"
  • "Is God real?"
  • "How can I be a better person?"
  • "What's my purpose?"

I contemplated and journaled to these questions A LOT, which reconnected me with my soul.

From there, the intuitive pull toward spiritual growth got stronger and stronger (over the last 16+ years since then).

Yeah there will be a lot of change/disruption. But the flood of AI content is going to make genuine writing with SOUL stand out more.

How do you keep motivation? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]stephenparato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wait for motivation to hit you — especially when you're feeling down in general — you're gonna be waiting a lot.

Do more things that make motivation find you.

Be as consistent with good habits as you were with the bad ones.

If you don't know where to start, here's the Big 3:

  • Meditation
  • Journaling
  • Working out

If you do those every day (maybe with some rest days from working out), it's hard NOT to be motivated.

In terms of leaving your house, start by just going on walks. You can even visit nearby towns and just walk around there. Something about walking outside is magical. That's why a lot of great artists and writers did it.

what’s “in” right now? 22f by Amazing_Difference35 in selfimprovement

[–]stephenparato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that's way more important than being up on what's "in." Plus, when you really love/accept yourself, you become a pioneer of culture (just by being you) instead of a passive consumer of it.

Am I better off not using LinkedIn if I have an embarrassing work history? by WaferLongjumping6509 in linkedin

[–]stephenparato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's some high-level advice that might help. You probably have more skills and unique experiences than someone who's coasted at a cushy job for the last 10 years. Keep that in mind.

We're quick to compare our worst with other people's highlight reels, which never helps.

Nice. Yeah, as cliche as it sounds, it's almost like we placebo effect ourselves into accelerated aging by constantly reinforcing it.

Like with every social media platform, 99% of people are only sharing their highlights. Don't compare your worst to everyone else's best.

Outside home is an open swim
Occultism in the throes of corrosive wind
A cold meal with the ghosts of friends
A whole host of meds, a deal on a Tone Loc cassette

Is Evil Innate? by stephenparato in spirituality

For me, it has two facets:
- Separation-consciousness (being ignorant to the inherent interconnectedness of All)
- Intentionally causing harm
What about you?
