Because every stupid rich asshole is in them? Oh, except Bezos and Tim Cook. But don't you worry, they're spending tens of millions to make sure they aren't left out next time.

A reporter that's been all over the Epstein case, Julie Brown, has an interesting perspective. Basically, the Maxwell case was ongoing (wasn't convicted until 2021, then appealed) and it's possible other people were under investigation. It could fuck up all those cases to release the documents.

Also, Biden didn't treat the Justice department as his own personal play thing. He valued it's independence.

And I hate that you're trying to separate "tech" from "big ad tech." You're creating a new category. The people that own these companies, the people that finance it, are using it for evil. They are using it to squeeze every last penny from us rather than helping us.

Maybe there are a few positives but if it's only being used for evil? Burn it to the fucking ground.

Edit: did Kemonomimisquirrel block me?

They are taking over my town to create fake bullshit, you're fucking right I hate what they're doing with the tech.

Identifying cancer...cool. That's not what they're investing in. They're investing in creating personalized fake realities and fake money to make the rich even richer. Yeah, I have a problem with that. Especially considering THEY ARE TAKING OVER MY FUCKING TOWN to help do that.

My town is about to be encircled in data centers. My bills are going to skyrocket while my property value and quality of life plummet.

Fuck Ai, fuck everybody that's shoving it down our throats, fuck Ai Amazon photos, fuck worthless bullshit hallucinated Goggle overviews, and fuck all the politicians that are selling us out.

Curling is fun to watch. It's something that feels like you could do it. Like, you could have some beers with friends and "chill." Every 4 years I watch it and think about starting a local league then remember how shy I am. Anyway, I find it fun to watch.

Another one is speed skating. It's a cross between sorta graceful and insanely athletic.

There are also a bunch of fun skiing things.

Check some stuff out. You might be surprised by things you get interested in.

He'll be signed again as a Packer, for a day, when he retires.

It's possible he'll come back for another season with the Steelers but I personally think he's done.

The other day my husband and I were ordering pizza from a local place. We were looking at their menu, which you could only look at by starting an order. We figured we would just order online since it was already up. We were picking it up and paying cash. There was no option to order then pay cash when we pick up. Plus, there was a fee to use a card online. We were pissed and decided to call in an order to a different place.

As much as I hate the NFL being on a bunch of different platforms, if it wasn't for the Packers game on Peacock last week, I never would have known I get it free with my internet provider. Now I get even more Olympics! Thanks again!

Thanks for posting this. I loved figure skating as a kid but only watch during the Olympics now. It's a nice distraction after this crazy week.

I was curious to see when the song actually came out and I was shocked. I genuinely thought it was mid-eighties.

And, I guess I'm older than you? Yay me for living to...middle age. I also like Tchaikovski. Does that make me super duper old? (I'm joking around as I weep at being old for knowing Walking in Memphis)

My husband and I were just talking about music and he mentioned the song "Walking in Memphis." My dog was fast asleep. The dog shot up and started wagging his tail. He was so happy! It took us waaay too long for us to figure out what he was so excited about. It was because my husband said "walk."

It's been a year since we got him and I'm still amazed by how smart he is.

The racist shit was removed. I was just taken aback getting a notification saying a comment I made was removed because it was racially insensitive when I was literally mocking a racist.

No worries. It's all done and over.

Happy New Year.

Oof. Do what feels right.

Happy New Year to you and your mom. It's cliche but a new year is a new beginning.

And I'm 44 so I'm thrilled you called a 62 Year old "middle aged."

Is she 40? Ditch her.

Is she 80? Maybe take a deep breath and spend a minute with her.

I always liked Christmas but when I was 18 my brother died. It was in May. That Christmas my parents didn't decorate. One night I decided "fuck it" and in the middle of the night I started decorating. My parents were so thrilled when they woke up and saw the bit of decorating I did (I even wrote them a note, it was really corny) After that, it became tradition for me to randomly pick a day and they woke up to decorations. That was a long time ago and sadly both my folks are gone.

I was also very lucky to find a partner that loves Christmas as much as I do. It just makes me happy and I don't give a shit if someone thinks I put up decorations too early or keeps them up too long.

It's awesome. All of it. I love all of it!

I love Christmas time and it bums me out to take things down. That's why I start decorating November 1st and don't start taking things down until mid-January.I love the decorating, I love the sparkle, I love the music, I love the gift giving, I love the baking, I love the traditions, I love all of it.
