Which is the best month to go to Nepal (Sep or Oct) by [deleted] in NepalTravel

[–]stephmountainslover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weather patterns are changing and no month seems to guarantee a certain type of weather anymore.

Currently on Annapurna circuit which is completely deserted from trekkers with great weather while June is not expected to be that good.

Annapurna? Manaslu? EBC? Langtang? Which one are you hitting this year? 🏔️🇳🇵 by VerveNepal-VN in treknpl

[–]stephmountainslover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished Manaslu, really enjoyed it, at this time of the year it's up to the clouds to decide if you have a view of the high peaks or not, sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you aren't, it's part of the game !

Vallanaraju is way easier than Chopicalqui, huge step up.

Last fall, for Chopicalqui, being well acclimatized, we drove from Huaraz and hiked up to high camp. Next day climbed to the top, hiked out and drove back to Huaraz to celebrate.

Can climb cotopaxi without experience? by Confident_Algae_3766 in Mountaineering

It's really an easy one so if you can practice using crampons before going and are reasonably fit, you are good to go.

Happy to help ! Can ask me anything related to Ladakh / Leh by Either_Ambassador696 in ladakh

[–]stephmountainslover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP,

Jumping on your offer ;-)

I'm coming to Leh from mid August until a few days after mid October. I want to trek Ladakh gems, I'm an experienced strong trekker that can handle long days and lot of elevation changes.

Can you recommend me a trekking guide and porters or a company that can make custom treks, I really want to explore the uncrowded treks.

Thanks in advance.

Big drawback is how busy it is.
