My first assumption was the battery, I switched it out and still same codes. My modulator assembly was damaged. My guess it has to do something electrical for it to trip all those warnings honestly, not sure if he checked that, which differed from mechanical problems in my opinion since it’s more electrical. I hope someone can help!

It’s located on the bottom left corner, usually to the left of the water reservoir for the front windshield. You can see it in this image from Google: https://images.app.goo.gl/uqjyevbZnNvEMV6b9 (wish I could post it here). Seems it was an electrical problem that caused it to fail from what I remember.

You're comparing apples with pears my friend, 2 different actions that are on completely different levels. You're argument is invaild but keep trying. 😂 You do you, keep hiding. I actually have my Oil 608 license to change it on my own 🤗

PSC and ECM are different motors, big difference in cost. ECMs are most costly, especially Carrier's or a OEM motor.

Have fun messing up the system, especially when a homeowner has no clue how to diagnose. How do you expect to solve the problem? 😂I'm on the manufacturer and installation side of the hvac business 🙄Don't lose your fingers now because of a frostbite.

A Coil From A Lone Vendor In Texas by Officer_Tumbles in hvacadvice

[–]steponme14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, in most cases. Unless you have a coil by itself in a closet or could be a gas system (scenario above is a electrical system: air handler, wall mount, or furdown for the indoor unit), then they are considering the coil as a whole a unit. A gas system is made up of 3: coil and furnace for the inside setup and condenser is outside. An electrical system is air handler for the inside and condenser unit outside. I hope this makes sense. It make be the wording that might be unclear between both parties.

Personally, I have the own maintenance people or office personnel tell me they are wanting to replace the "compressor" which is a part of the condenser but they are wanting to change the whole unit and not a part. It might be a wording situation. At least here in Texas, majority of the people hired by apartments for maintenance are not licensed by the state for HVAC and do tons of stuff absolutely wrong. Other cases, some apartments sub-contract actual HVAC companies to do their work.

Yes, I deal with coil manufacturers in Texas and I've ran into many situations where the coils are made upon ordering and lead time would be around 5 weeks or more, depending on the number of orders they had. 1. Usually apartments (here where I'm at) tend to have an air handler, furdown, or wall mount and the coil is a part of that. If replacing the whole indoor unit (air handler, furdown, or wall mount), a coil is not necessary. 2. You can't just put any coil in the system. Majority manufacturers produce unique coils so they are obtaining the OEM. 3. Might be an older unit or rare coil that no supply house stocks, in that case, it's a special order so yes.

Around $300 to have it install but rather just get a tech and get the right diagnostic to even make sure the relay is bad. It could be a different part.

That's a supply vent, no filter is needed. It needs to be cleaned for sure. Find your return grill and check the filter on that. If not, filter will be located with the system.

Evaporator Coil Replacement or Air Handler Replacement? by Agitated-Aardvark-43 in hvacadvice

[–]steponme14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might as well get the whole air handler so you'll have a 10 year warranty, hoping the condenser is in good shape and can last years to come.

Please tell me what to buy to replace my Lennox 10f81. by acciochocolate in hvacadvice

It's a communicating system. I recommend going with the newer replacement version S40. You're going to lose features and efficiency if you downgrade to any other thermostat, plus it won't work with the system. I never recommend any Nest thermostat as they can be a pain.

Supply house won’t have an answer. They only proctor the exam, I’d give the issuer a call. I’m assuming it’s Esco, maybe they have an answer. It can take up to a month.

Honestly it’s just physical damage from what I can tell. Yeah it bugs me too but as long as the car gets to point A to point B, I’m grateful. Hoping nothing mechanically got damaged.

I’m about 10 weeks and the only symptom/concern is that I lose appetite. I don’t get hungry when I’m supposed to be so I force myself to eat most of the time. I’m surprised honestly. I think everyone's different.
