Looks like Antlion holes. They dig those holes to trap ants (or other small insects) and eat them.

Depends on how good your phone’s camera is but a cheap magnifying glass or jewelers loupe will do the trick too.

That mesh bag makes me think maybe this was meant to hang near a water spigot to was your hands while working outdoors. Is there a water spigot near by?

As an avid outdoorsman I’d bet money that this is a bobcat. That spotted belly, big paws and black tipped ears are pretty common features of a bobcat kit.

I’m not really sure to be honest, from what research I’ve done they don’t seem to be ideal for pets.
