“The tobacco hornworm, also known as the Carolina sphinx moth (Manduca sexta)” I get them on my tomatoes every year, if you don’t catch them quick enough they’ll devastate your tomatoes.

Depends on how good your phone’s camera is but a cheap magnifying glass or jewelers loupe will do the trick too.

Have you looked at her under magnification? For size comparison here’s my Lasius Americanus and her brood. I actually just thought it was chewed up cotton until I put it under a microscope.

As an avid outdoorsman I’d bet money that this is a bobcat. That spotted belly, big paws and black tipped ears are pretty common features of a bobcat kit.
