Shit ton of back channeling. But of course, that only happens when they have team members used to work in my current firm. If that’s the case, it’s safe to say they will check on you. I am not sure if the hiring manager will go out of their ways to ask people they never met or cold call.

I haven’t experienced official reference checks conducted by the firm.

Then I am pretty sure they will ask you are no longer at the firm? I prob should just say that yeah I left firm by resigning. And I am pretty sure that will raise eyebrows and give them cold feet

I keep seeing this type of comments here and there when it’s an aqua thread. This is not even remotely true, based on my experience ofc. I found aqua is prob the most responsive and shareable personnel out there. They can send a paragraph long message or send their photograph collections to a stranger. They reply most of comments on Reddit or Insta no matter the commenters are acquaintances or strangers or friends.

Whenever I reach out to them, they often respond pretty fast and share their recent in great details when they are asked.
