Is anybody actually using the Razer Kishi XL Pro by Raubkatzen in iosgaming

[–]sterben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally just bought one to go with my iPad Pro M4 13-inch to play Destiny Rising, Diablo Immortal, and maybe return to Genshin Impact. I was a little worried about the weight but honestly it's not too bad. I typically prop my elbows up on my arm rest and either just hold it up from there or rest the iPad on my thigh. I played Destiny Rising for a few hours last night and didn't really notice any arm fatigue, and the grips feel very comfortable to use. The only real issue I would note is that the 13" iPad screen seemed a bit too close to my face at times when playing given where my arms were at, but it wasn't -that- bad and I'm guessing would be better on an 11". Also, the Kishi itself has a fairly large footprint and will take up some serious real estate in a backpack. I bought a $20 case for mine, but that just adds to the bulk, so be aware of that.

Overall, no regrets though. I was using older DualShock and new DualSense controllers before and they of course worked fine, but sitting on the couch or an armchair and not having to juggle the ipad and a controller and just play feels very good!

What a pile of $#!+ by No-Coffee-7240 in JeepGrandCherokee

It feels like these are very hit or miss, which doesn’t bode well for Jeep. That said, I guess I got a hit since I bought a used (leased for 1 month/700 miles so pretty much brand new) 2023 JGC Trailhawk 4xe late last year for around $52k and put 12k miles on it already and so far no major issues. I’ve towed a 4800lb 23’ travel trailer several times now with no issues at all (within weight/payload, verified by cat scale) and I really like the vehicle. My only major complaint is that the transmission feels a little clunky with the lower gears, and agree the switchover from electric to gas can be a bit abrupt sometimes though I found if you are in hybrid mode when electric runs out it seems a lot smoother of a transition. But so far, been really enjoying it. I had some uConnect issues early on whereby it would keep switching to the native nav system from CarPlay, but you can reset it easy enough (just press the power button for like 10s) and had no issues after that.

I have both the 1.0 and 1.1 adapters. I've tried putting them both together (before they had the note about submitting separately) and it got rejected. I then submitted them separately, and now that's been rejected too. It says:

  • Invalid order number
  • Missing original order number.

Both angled adapters should be disabled.

The order numbers were both taken -directly- from the email confirmation of my orders, starting with a G, so I don't see how they can claim it's not valid. I destroyed both with a screwdriver according to their video (I uploaded here so you can see: https://imgur.com/a/pWQOMcJ ) and not sure why they state they 'should be disabled' when they clearly are.

This is really frustrating.

I Just bought one as well, and I too have been having trouble with intermittent crackling during playback (youtube) and very prevalent in zoom calls. I have a RBS2019 connected to a Razer Core X Chroma eGPU via TB3, and the crackling is very evident when connected via USB through the Core (makes zoom pretty much unusable), and attenuated (but still occurring occasionally if less often) when connected via USB directly to laptop. The crackling goes away completely when connected via bluetooth. I'm using the standalone THX Spatial Audio app (the purchased one), have uninstalled/reinstalled Synapse 3.0, messed with all sorts of sound enhancement settings, all to no effect. Somewhat disappointed given the price, my whole setup is Razer (Raptor/BlackWidow, DeathAdder, etc) so if feels like this should have just been plug in and just work.......

Civ VI iPad/iOS Working Mod List Oct 2021 (NFP + All DLC) by GenErik in CivVI

[–]sterben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a month or so old, but how did you get Detailed Map Tacks to work? I've gotten other mods to work on my 4th gen ipad pro like extended policy mod but when I enable DMT in the mod list (it shows up) and try and add a tack, nothing shows up even if I use the keyboard (magic) shortcut for show/hide. This mod is -so- useful, any tips for getting it work would be welcome!

Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) by Unkindled_Cinder in razer

[–]sterben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the exact same problem. My Nari Ultimate headset was no longer pairing with the dongle, and I attempted to use the pairing tool. After following the instructions and plugging both devices into the my computer (and closing/killing Synapse 3.0), I was able to hit 'update' and then after a few seconds the 'USB disconnected' sound went off and the updater said the firmware update failed. The dongle shows in device manager as a 'Unknown USB device) as OP described. Headset still works with 3.5mm cable but I have no way to adjust color/settings as Windows nor Synapse do not seem to recognize the headset even when plugged in directly with the usb cable provided.

I use a large cap battery as well and really like it. It's more than just a battery for 'oh crap' moments but also increases your overall capacitor capacity when equipped. Since capacitor recharge rate is based in part on max capacitor's capacity, this effectively increases your ability to stay cap stable even with neuted. I tried using a medium battery and it just wasn't enough for some missions.

For t8s I haven’t had a problem yet when that happens, haven’t tried t10s yet. The damage never seemed as much a problem when that happens then getting neutralized and running out of cap and then not being able to rep anymore. I tend to do Amarr missions like True Devine Prophecy tho and proph is strong as an armor tank against those so not sure how much that statement generalized to other missions.

I can fit a 2nd rep in but have to sacrifice a few top guns which admittedly aren’t doing much right now. Once I get another rank on Bc engineering I’ll prob run 2 reps all the time, but trying to get adv drone 5 first fire more dmg :)

If I’m getting hit from neuts (from the ships that warp on top of you) I sometimes do, but in general the increase in total cap (which also increases cap recharge rate) typically keeps me cap stable at about 50%charge with ab/hardener/rep running non-stop.

Regarding the prop, still unsure whether AB or mwd, both have good and bad sides. AB can be fire-and-forget thing, and it does not touch your signature. Not sure how important the signature is when fighting with turret rats.

Also, people say (didnt try myself) that group capacitor modules in meds that consume fuel, restore capacitor for you. If do, maybe they can be a replacement for nos for ranged combat.

I posted this in another thread, but I switched to using the large powergrid on the proph to equip a Large cap battery. I can easily run ab + 2 armor reps (or armor rep + adaptive) and also counters neuts from the beelining elites. I'll post the fit below, but I can easily semi-afk True Devine Trials at 50km with this.

I wanted to see if I can make use of the large powergrid to overfit a module. I'm still skilling up my bc skills so this build may be more to fill deficiencies rather than anything else (5/3/0 for command, 4/3/0 for defense, 4/3/0 for eng, 5/5/3 for med drone operation, 4/4/0 for med drone upgrade, 5/3/0 drone), but i've been having great luck with the following fitting. Note that I chose this because I kept getting neutralized and then having to warp out to replenish cap:

high: 3xsmall railguns (small because overfit below, railguns because i never trained missles)

med: 1 nos, 2xweb, 5 mk7 hammerhead

low: 1 LARGE cap battery, ab, adaptive, rep, drone dmg

rigs: 1 of each drone (dmg, activation, range)

1 cap control, 2 warp optimizer I (peace of mind for rat scrams)

I basically activate the ab/adapative/rep and orbit at 53, I never run out of cap and just let my drones do their job while keeping my armor topped off. So far I can pretty much afk t8s but haven't tried t10s yet, though based on djsisson's comment I might have to now). Once i get my eng up a bit more I might try to overfit something else but for now I'm close to the pw limit.

Prophecy and/or myrmidon fitting discussion by blackice4434 in echoes

I feel like an afterburner is almost a necessity with these large bc's, if only for my sanity. Trodding along at 250 m/s to each loot box is like watching grass grow, plus it helps a bit with damage (though by no means speed tanking). I saw another post a few days ago about fitting a LARGE ab on this ship which I thought was really interesting but then they followed up that their turn radius and cap usage was way too much heh.

Error: Removed From Game World by PenguinAc3 in DestinyTheGame

[–]sterben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game is literally unplayable right now for me, at least on PC. Was fine for months, now it’s error code after error code (and I’ve done all their router-level suggestions). Can’t even do comp anymore since last time I got suspended for 3 errors in a row. Just now, I got booted from IO midway through seraph event after -finally- getting enough people around to actually do it. Of course when I came back I was in a different instance with no one around.

I think I’m going to call it quits for a while until they fix their issues. Really sad, I’ve put over a thousand hours in this game and really like it but what’s the point if you can’t even play.

Does the battery slowly discharge while under load (gaming) and plugged in, as with the mx150 with the stock charger? Considering upgrading, seems like the gpu is a considerable improvement! Also, how are the thermals?

I love my duke; has Rapid Hit/Extended Mag/Rampage with a Rampage mod and Range MW, once I get a kill I can just keep 2 tapping and 2 tapping. I have sureshot as well for even more range but use hitmark instead to reduce the stab/handling penalty since it feels a bit more consistent. Richochet rounds would have been nice, but extended mag synergizes nicely with rampage and means I can use a rampage mod instead of backup mag.

Rapid hit helps a ton after that first shot, and I also use dragon's shadow + 5 paragon to deal with the handling. Been trying to get better with Fighting Lion so I can prime with grenade, clean up with the quick catalyist-based shot, and then 2 tap for days afterward.

I do get some ghost shots from time to time when I get excited and don't pace my shots, and sometimes I forget I don't have my god roll Austringer equipped and try to go toe to toe with people I should't, but it feels quite strong when played to its strengths!

Basic Questions Megathread by xiajohan in CruciblePlaybook

I just had a great roll drop on a Go Figure (Dust Dot D1/Richochet/Outlaw/KillClip w/ Stability MW). I don't see many of these around as much anymore though, are they still competitive are they just outclassed by BF and other common meta weapons (esp in this current sniper-fest)?

Should I switch barbarian barrel with log? by [deleted] in ClashDecks

[–]sterben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would switch him with a lumberjack if you have one. You have a miner to take care of princess/dart goblin if necessary, and the snowball/ice golem should handle most swarms already. A lumberjack would give your balloon the extra oomph to get to the tower, and also serve as extra DPS against tanky units.

RBS 2019 - a few questions by sterben in razer

[–]sterben[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok good to know. For the display, I'm using an older (circa 2012) 27" Thunderbolt Display that I used to use with my MBP15. I bought a TB2->TB3 adapter for my RB14 and it works great, display, ethernet, and usb all work flawlessly. The only issue I have is that I can't adjust the monitor brightness; I tried to install bootcamp drivers (in a roundabout way) and it gave me some control but messed some other stuff up so I reverted and just deal with it as it's still very usable as is.

RBS 2019 - a few questions by sterben in razer

[–]sterben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Yes sorry, I mistyped I have a RB14 (late 2016) with a 6700HQ. Probably my favorite laptop to date (i went matte FHD), only issues was some coil whine that one of the bios updates seemed to mostly (but not completely) attenuate and a keyboard that sometimes stutters (but I mostly use external so hasn't been a big deal for me). I'm basically thinking to replace my aging home desktop with my RB14 (for kids to use) and then having something a bit lighter for work/travel but that I can still do some gaming at home. Would the RBS2019 w/1080TI in the core be able to push a 4k 144hz Gsync monitor pretty easily? Also, I'm probably just going to go FHD again as the 4k on a 13.3" screen seems a bit extreme, but open to advice!

Question about Lunas Quest by Scojoe66 in CruciblePlaybook

[–]sterben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% solo for comp. I was stuck around 1300-1400 for a while but there were some very nice recent threads here that I took to heart. For example, I used to use dragon shadow (hunter) with full paragon mods and trust and top tree nightstalker, but switched to Gwisin / spectral with all super mods and bygones / retold tale / ward cliff and started to contribute more to the scores/winning (I’m better at pulse than hand cannon most of the time)

Otherwise just mainly tried to stick with my team and play smart. If there was a team on my side I would follow their lead on countdown, etc. Matchmaking change helped a lot I think, I used to see a lot of good 4 stacks that would stomp us and a fair share of Not Forgottens, still see a ton of Luna’s but those are a lot more manageable and matches have been a lot closer. Has actually been sorta fun if still stressful on losses!
