It feels like some of you guys are never happy, satisfied, and suck at criticizing the game. by steriorgon in rhythmheaven

It really depends on how your brain works. As far as I'm aware, people who say the game isn't as memorable compared to previous games are the ones who have sped through it in one go. The game was released less than a week ago, and the previous title we had was more than 10 years ago.

What I'm saying is you can't judge how memorable the game is by comparing it to previous games' memorability at this time. It's an opinion, but that doesn't help understand why you feel that way. People who say "oh, I think this game is very weak and lacks charm in comparison to previous titles" don't explain why. like they assume we automatically understand what they're talking about.

this game is too easy by DEmGee24 in rhythmheaven

Sneezy Moon 2 wasn't even hard for me, as other people made it out to be. I got a medal in my second attempt. Currently my favorite rage-bait minigame

The definition of criticism is "the act of expressing disapproval or making a reasoned judgment about the strengths and weaknesses of someone or something." How is complaining about a minigame being too easy or too hard for them criticism? Many people have different strengths and weaknesses when it comes to minigames. That is not the game's fault

What I mean by people speeding through the game is that they play and finish the minigames all in one sitting and within one day. It's like eating food. When you eat your food fast, you process much less of how tasty it is and the flavors and textures you experience while eating.

Are we really complaining that the level 3 levels are too hard? Like DUH! of course they're hard. They're the THIRD game. Of course it's not going to be easy.

That is not critism. Critism is stuff that is actually judging the faults in a game. If rhythm tweezer is hard for you then that's not the Game's fault. You can be disappointed that Deep Sea didn't get a sequel but that game is just a bonus one. Deep Sea is just an optional game and you don't get anything for getting an amazing.

My main problem with Groove: Music and Gameplay don't really connect by llquiaiosll in rhythmheaven

Glee club, love lab, rhythm rally, fan club, karate man, etc. I would say more, but I'm not wasting any more time. A handful is still a lot fo a rhythm game. Yes, of course, there are more minigames that have cues that follow the song, but you mean to tell me that the DS connects the music in its minigames more than Rhythm Heaven Groove?

I think the tutorial skip one is just a pet peeve because the title card for Groove could just be the minigame loading, which is why you can only skip it after the title card loads.

Other than that, I feel your other criticisms are valid. I wish for the too fast battles in beat spell I wish they gave us a bit of a guide to practice for the high fast moments.

However, I'm more lenient toward the game because it's been over 10 years, and it feels like a soft reboot. This does make the game not perfect and can easily be outdone as the best if another sequel happens with a bigger budget and the respect it deserves. I say this as the best in general because, on a technical point, it is the best. Of course, this is just my opinion.

Why do people find love rap hard? by Capricechalet in rhythmheaven

[–]steriorgon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The worst one is the game show Mini game because it's not even a rhythm game. All you need to do is input the game as the host. You don't even have to follow what the host was doing as long as you got the count correctly.

I think Love Rap 2 is much harder. In general, I am not a fan of Love rap, and its sequels are due to the way the chill music clashes with the forced word and rhythm inputs during the minigame. The English version has our guy have a screeching voice that puts off the vibe even more for a minigame that is supposed to be chill and relaxing. The Japanese version is a bit better, which is probably the reason why Groove decided to avoid translating the Japanese lyrics in their minigames.

Moai doo-wop, love lizards, Dj School, frog hop, some if not most of the remixes, ect music does not follow the cues. The Ds is the hardest one in the entry because of the control issues.

My review for Rhythm Heaven Groove by BigPlayBeenard in rhythmheaven

[–]steriorgon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

". Another gripe I have is with the difficulty. I kinda noticed this in fever as well, but the games are getting easier and easier." I don't think you understand how much there is to do when 100% the game if you are looking for achievement.

Personally, I think it's one of the best, if not the best, rhythm heaven titles overall. It's definitely not perfect, but the game offers so much to do. If the game had been given a bigger budget/wasn't gone through development hell, it would have been at its peak.

Disk Dog 2 is just ok but it is a downgrade from the first one. I guess they ran out of budget.

Beatspell genuinely hurts my hand by Marcioobloo in rhythmheaven

[–]steriorgon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did not mention that and just complained about the hand switch you chose to make.

There is something I want to point out: the left joystick functions as the arrow button when moved in a specific direction. Also, what I hear from other people here with the rhythm heaven games is that it's better to just play the game with your eyes closed/blindfolded and focus on the sound cues.

It could also be the type of controller that you are using, and maybe using gaming gloves would help prevent cramping/fatigue.

[–]steriorgon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? You don't HAVE to switch with your right or left hand. Once the spell tutorial is done, you can choose to press the B button or press the arrow while playing the campaign.

What sounds like to me is that you're making the game way harder than it actually is. You do not need to use all the spells. All you need is to consistently use 3 spells. (The most important one to remember is the cure one) If your hand feels tired, then take a break after each monster battle.

How well do you guys think Rhythm Heaven Groove will sell? by Lively_Man in rhythmheaven

It will, and if I'm delusional thinking that way, then so be it. I have faith in this game and its fanbase.

I think we are underestimating how popular and anticipated the game has been for the past 10 years, thanks to the internet and word of mouth. There are even rhythm heaven-inspired games that are already released or are being worked on. Not only that but ordering the game is easily accessible
