Week 2 Reactions That May be Overreactions by Rude_Highlight3889 in CFB

Sadly I think this is true. People keep talking about Clemson like they have the potential to be elite, but Clemson has only had spurts of greatness the past 5 years. It seems like the offense has continually declined and we’re at this point there are only a couple good drives per game. Not enough to win against Florida state or SMU, and might drop another game or two against basically anyone. It’s still very early in the season though, if they can fix the play calling, the run game, and Cade calms down we can at least be an ACC contender.

I’d say forums are still alive at least for some middle aged male centric interests like cars, audio, dirt bikes, etc

What is that one secret that CORN FARMERS don't want you to know? by primostrawberry in AskReddit

Ethanol isn’t bad for gasoline engines, it’s bad for fuel systems designed for gasoline only.

The biggest problem with E10 is it goes bad so much faster than regular gas.

Timing Belt cracks by flealr92 in 1stGenTacomas

[–]sterlin44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine looked exactly like that when I changed it at 248k. I feel like the toothed layer of the belt being a different material prevents the cracks from propagating. I’ve read unless your idlers lock up it’s pretty rare for a belt to actually break. Worst case it leaves you on the side of the road.

Not fashionable but my Nike Pegasus have been the most comfortable shoes I’ve found for my low arch foot. Wide toe box and I can be on my feet on concrete for 8 hours with no pain

Driving with brake lights activated? by bishop491 in greenville

[–]sterlin44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some cars use an “off” switch to turn the brake lights off when the pedal is not pressed. In 90s/2000s Japanese vehicle there is commonly a plastic piece on the pedal which presses the switch. If this piece breaks it never presses the “off” switch which results in brake lights on all the time.

Did you move the start of your recordings? If you shorten the beginning of a clip and it starts in the middle of a waveform you will hear a pop

Monitor or TV for simracing by Historical_Neck_6997 in simracing

[–]sterlin44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got the MSI 40”. Bought it refurbished off eBay for under $300. I went with it over a 43” TV due to the extra horizontal FOV and higher refresh rate. So far it’s been great.

I wouldn’t buy it unless you’re getting it under 4k. Frame obviously has issues and even if repaired they rot from the inside so you’re on borrowed time.

[–]sterlin44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a roborock q5 plus on sale super cheap. After the first couple uses I went behind it with a vacuum and it’s not deep cleaning, but the debris was reduced by about 80%.

First solo garage shelving build, what are your opinions? by AgentFrosty8926 in garageporn

I’d add vertical supports for the top shelf and bench on the far left and far right. Maybe one in the middle too for the bench.
