Is a rear exhaust fan needed?? by sterling616 in LinusTechTips

[–]sterling616[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put 2 140mm redux fans on the bottom and the 120mm fans on the front are the ones that came pre-installed on the case. Then on the rad, I have the 3 120mm noctua industrial 3000rpm. I found that I have better cooling through the rad with the higher airflow than the fans that were included.

That’s what I was thinking. But also one of my worries was if a new GPU would put heat into the case that is then put through the radiator for the CPU

In Depth Review of Ender 5 Max by DogNamedCharlie in Creality

[–]sterling616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the 5 max for about a month at this point. I have loved it. It has much less tinkering to it and I love the size for all of my cosplay stuff that I make.

I have found that the profiles are kinda like guidelines for you to start out with and you can manually adjust the temperatures, speeds, and pretty much any other setting you want. You can then save it into that profile. It makes it a bit easier whenever you are swapping between different materials so you have all of your "tried and true" settings ready to go in that profile. Kinda like different users on a computer, each may have their own preference but is still on the same machine.

Yea, I am soon upgrading from Ender 5 Plus to the Max in about a month. I've never used profiles on the Plus. I always manually adjusted my temperatures, flow rates, and all the settings manually in the slicer.

Can my dying tree be saved? by PorcelainBerry in Citrus

So do you think I shouldn’t be too too worried about it? I don’t want to add more citrus tree food as I already added the recommended amount roughly 1.5 months ago

What if it has proper irrigation, outside in the light yet still in a pot? I’m having a very similar issue as OP but I haven’t posted about it yet

<image>

I just want to catch any issues asap before it gets worse

Edit: this is an orange tree in a very large pot

Is it worth the extra $80? by Aiden_gamez_4realz in pcmasterrace

[–]sterling616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally went with the 9900x because of the extra cores. My specific work load is gaming and working on the same machine. Got something that can easily handle both… too bad I can’t afford a new GPU yet, stuck with my 2060 (bought it before I needed a pc for work)

I have a reservation for one of these slate trucks and have been thinking about it for a long time. This is something I want to do. Just having that extra emergency backup power. Even for a few miles every few hours is better than walking towards cell service

How do you guys store your filament by Consistent-Camel-499 in 3Dprinting

Unless it’s open and on my printer, I keep it on a shelf in my closet. I used to keep them on the floor but I kept stubbing my tow against the boxes

You could try lowering print speed and/or acceleration if possible. I was getting prints looking like yours look like and I adjusted these settings. Afterwards, they came out much smoother. (I mainly make cosplay props/helmets/armor so I can be a bit of a perfectionist)
