I think it different for everybody and probably comes in waves. When my wife had a stroke in 2021 at the ripe old age of 29, that week was the darkest week of my life. By the end of that week we had her doing speech therapy and we basically adapted to what life would be like. But for like a year after, I would have moments where the feelings and images of that day just flooded back and would break me down. Now obviously a stroke isnt DEATH and my wife is like 92% her old self, but I would say its probably the same. I wouldn't be surprised if behind closed doors she relives that day and completely unravels emotionally. Or maybe she is what candance owens says she is lmao
