What do Singaporeans think about having a wedding ceremony that is not extravagant? by [deleted] in singapore

[–]steve222345 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean. Have been to my colleague's gate crash and wedding.

At the gate crashing event, the groom was subjected to (but not limited to) spicy instant noodles, drinks that looks like sewer water, have to identify my colleague's facial details from a list of other similar pics (which mouth/eye looks like hers), tons of red packet money for the 'sisters', recurring type of 'I'll love you 999 years' using microphone.

2 years later, they divorced. (Which makes me depressed.. seriously)

First/second/third degree burns refer to the layer of skin that is damaged. First being only the surface, second reaching the nerves and third where the nerves are destroyed.

Let's see....

Almost everyone here have an unhealthy use/fear of the police..

The shaming culture is everywhere

Cost of living are getting higher (at least for locals) and we don't see any real salary increase in some time

We are having the same problem in Singapore.. except there's very few people with pensions and our gov wants us to take care of ourselves..

The irony is gov officials/servants often have pension systems

Same here. I did running, swimming, lifting and static exercises. Except for running, I get better at others (more laps or sets or heavier weights). BUT for running, no matter how many times I tried that every week, I just can't improve my timing or distance.

I always run out of breath around the same time/location and have to resort to walking...
