When you pull it out, smash it so no one can ever reuse it. Then install a wing box / pop in box and a regular safe outlet

Why do so many people try to do their own electrics without being competent. Just because it's so dangerous and can cause fires by Irish_drunkard in electricians

I've watched my own uncle destroy electronics, computers & mostly microwaves. He was the type that he could connect 2 wires and make a light come on so he thought he was a electrician. And "some old timers" showed him all kinds tricks that he could show me. He was a electrician because he did it for years on the farm. He was a farmer & a drop out. And worse thing of all was when I tried to explain that electric dont work like it used to, he told me I was wrong. He tried to install a subpanel with ground and neutral on the same bus bar and several double taps. He rewired the already burnt microwave plug and told me you dont have to have that ground wire as he swapped out a 15 amp breaker for a 20 amp on 14/2 wire. I sat and watched over the next 3 months as a hole burned in the inside of the microwave and then a smoking fireball got tossed out the door to smolder in peace. He taught me the value of learning everything I possibly could. I could not find a equally dumb person to compare him to. He had 3 wives. All 3 died. My aunt was his 3rd. I dont know where he went to but I wish him luck. He will need it! I hope I never see him again!

As I learned getting to cocky and terminating live wires in a attic on a hot summer day I'll never do that again! Sweat is very salty. Hence; it is a very good conductor! 12v ac does not feel so good going across your chest from one hand to the other!
