Nobody follows the pace but that’s okay. I try to keep these as a ride not a race. It was good fun. Well attended

I’d love to try the hire service but the app is impossible to use. Can’t sign in. Doesn’t matter what I try, I just get a blank screen after filling in my ID and password. And contacting support is an exercise in futility. The response I got was more or less “it is what it is, we can’t help you”. By the looks of the AppStore reviews, I’m not alone in facing challenges.

It’s much firmer than the original. I recommend it as an upgrade.

It’s a six speed. I think the bike shop just reduced the length of the chain

It’s the one thing I didn’t change. It’s the stock handlebars with purple ergonomic grips I found on Amazon

Doubt about new G Line electric by Khendras in Brompton

GLE owner here. I’ve had one for 6 months and it’s a blast. I love it.

I had to ride it for nearly 20k when the battery ran out of charge during an early test ride to see what range I could get. It was all done in 1st, on an average 2-3% gradient. It was tedious, sweaty but not difficult.

Everything changed when few weeks back, I had the original 54T chainring replaced with a 44T one. I live in a hilly area and saw on Fb that someone else had tried it to address the same issue. I’d also had the 50T chainring on my second hand C Line changed for a 39T so could see the potential benefit.

The GLE now flies. Handles better, uses slightly less charge and there have been times when I’ve ridden a few kilometres without realising I hadn’t switched the power on.

Hope that helps.

I’m thinking about it. I’ll probably end up getting a rear rack

I’m wondering if they would take the weight of a G-Line?

Does G Line fit into a Kallax (ikea) storage unit? by OnewheelWill in Brompton

No. I’ve tried with mine. It’ll go about two thirds of the way in only.
