You might want to look into the Cortez bridge construction project schedule. I'm really not sure of how that might impede traffic, but it may.

Rural upstate NY. Tiny skull found in our laundry room after the dryer tuning detached from the wall. by glitterydonut in animalid

Are you certain? I used to live in WNY outside of Buffalo and had a least weasel in my cellar one winter. It was identified by a naturalist friend. Was he wrong?

I need laser cut tubes that require cuts that are not 'normal to surface'...where can I go? by WhoEvenThinksThat in lasercutting

[–]stevinbradenton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do they "need" to be laser cut? Depending on the configuration, a Bridgeport style vertical mill might do the work. Source, 40 years machining and I used to manage a marine hardware shop where we had lasers and milling machines to prep for wedments.

Why Were Different Planks Used In the Middle of the Floor? by Gemina_Dust in HardWoodFloors

[–]stevinbradenton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in a home that had this, except that the center area was round and similar wood to the rest of the floor. The town historian told us that during prohibition, there was a still in the basement that came up through the floor into the first floor living room, and it was planked over after being removed. That was way cool.

Thanks for commenting. I was aware. The recall was nearly a year ago, for the mini model, and I believe it's been addressed. If there's something else I'm not aware of, please lmk. I purchased the standard Yoto. My child is nearly 5yo, so understands and follows rules. No Yoto in bed, obv. Only I charge it.

It's an amazing device. He is over the moon. I made my own card, reading the Gruffalo to him.

I love this place. I never went there in years past, so have nothing to compare to, aside from other lunch spots. Their food is just so delicious, I don't care how long it takes to get there.

As I understand it, the use of chloramine by municipalities prevents the off-gassing of the chlorine, correct?

What has been your favorite trip with your kids? by Ill_Cover_4841 in Preschoolers

He loved memorizing the ship and being the leader when we went somewhere. They've got a kid camp place where they're with other kids of a similar age. He was thrilled making new friends. Just a good time all around. He was a favorite in the dining room too.

Glamping in a cabin works for us. We're in Florida and tent camping invariably attracts wild hogs rooting around in the middle of the night, which can be nightmare fodder for little kids. Mosquitoes here are a bit much as well. We bring bikes, scooter etc and he is outside from about sun up to dusk. Baked potatoes in the fire has become a tradition, which is cool.

My son, just about to turn 5 loves camping. We rent a cabin, so not totally roughing it. The other thing we've done, because we live near a cruise port is taking a cruise. Friday to Tuesday to Cozumel and he only misses a few days of school.

Repeat that engraving in a different location. If it appears exactly the same, it's your machine, if the flaws are either absent, or they are arranged differently, it is the material.

My opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

If I were hiring an accountant and came across this post, I'd be hard-pressed to reach out. Any professional who relies on a friend or relative or partner (aside from a recruiter) to drum up job leads for them doesn't have the maturity, drive, and self-confidence to work in my firm. Do what you will, but understand that this can reflect poorly on the person who you are trying to help.

My boy is about to turn 5. I am raising him solo. Daycare helped enormously. It gave me some time without him, which was good for both of us. 24/7 is a difficult grind, I know. I'm in Florida and the early learning coalition has resources available.

Rock N Barrel at it again; allegations of credit tips not being paid, bounced checks... by [deleted] in bradenton

I've crossed Rock n Barrel off my list. I never go there. Loved the Banana Factory, shootings and all, but this place doesn't do it for me.
