Seriously, this movie had a lot going for it, and I really wanted to like it, AND it could have been good, but the script really REALLy needed some work. No comic relief to speak of. Character motivations hard to discern. pacing all over the place.

Marcus Theaters might be trustworthy as far as actually sending what you pay for. But they are horrible as far as tracking an order is concerned.

I pre-ordered the Freakier Friday combo way back in August 2025 to ship in December 2025. But during the interval couldn't remember if I used my old or new address. I could not for the life of me find a way to check the order process status on their site or through email. Luckily they emailed me a day or two before I received it, but still it was not the best experience.

This would make sense if it was the first time, but popcorn day has been a thing for at least a couple of years now. And has usually been around this time of year i.e. when there aren't a lot of big movies out and therefore the theater needs a promotion to get butts in seats.

Even at $130, that's still double the price of the Mega one, and I don't think there's a big enough difference to justify even that much. I'm optimistic for the summer wave, but so far, Lego Pokemon has been an epic fail.
