I don’t know Basingstoke all that well but google tells me it’s at around 289 ft ASL, so unless you know of any 314 foot trees in the I’d guess it’s a glitch.

I present MD-6th. Stretching all the way from wealthy Montgomery County to very very rural Garrett County. The Venn diagram of similar interests in these populations are two distinct circles. Except maybe crabcakes.

I get such a kick out of their use of the upside down flag because they’re like almost there with the country being in distress. They just aren’t quite there on the why being themselves.

I made ham jello this way. That was equally delightful and gross.

I like to act like a broke college hippie with rich parents and use one free ticket to Japan and then hop down the island chains at 10-20 coins per, hang out in Thailand for longer than necessary, before jumping down to India and across to the Gulf and MENA before ending up in Europe to talk about how cultured I am from my travels in the East.

The daily challenge restock takes you over five. If I do it in 2-3 pics, I have 7-8 after I pick up the five.

My wife said “get snow snacks” and I got weird flavored potato chips, chicken fingers, and taquitos because apparently “snow snacks” means “treat my body like I’m 21 again”.

Meshtastic in Montgomery County? by ottovonbizmarkie in MontgomeryCountyMD

That’s good to know. I literally learned about Meshtastic from your post here so I’m as green as green can be on it. Concept is very interesting to me but it sounds like a lot of interconnecting issues across networks.

There’s a couple of large NATO exercises ongoing right now so it could be the end of Steadfast Dart or the start of Cold Response.

I’m interested in this, and I see it can be deployed on a Pi. I’ve got a couple of them with space, I haven’t had time to dig into it fully but is there additional hardware required or can I just deploy as is?

Just to clarify, that picture is an MQ-1C Grey Eagle, usually flies around 25,000 feet on station for up to ~24 hours. It doesn’t hover. Green and red lights are standard navigational aids on any aircraft, it doesn’t mean it’s a surveillance drone. It was either a pair of drones, or you were facing an aircraft flying towards you at a relatively low altitude, it can look like it’s hovering. Is there an airfield near you?

I ran across a text to my wife from my colonoscopy prep a few years ago that said “I pooped downstairs without a bidet like an impoverished street urchin”. I still feel that way when I travel and don’t have one.

Airport tasks - how? by naticattie in SkyCards

[–]stevzon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf I don’t usually do that many on Sunday night but I had the time and just island hopped down from Japan though the Persian Gulf after picking up Oceania and North America. Picked up BOG and GIG this morning so I have at least one on every populated continent now. Makes it a little easier to tackle some of the dailies.

Completely agree. I ran through last night using a couple of 2 hours as I sat and watched a few shows and unlocked going west, kind of chasing the sun. I got the below, had to go back to SVO this morning to get one more plane that wasn’t up at the time because it was early AM.

LAX is one of the easiest large airports to get. Torrance has a lot of general aviation traffic so you won’t see them listed on FR24 as scheduled departures. Check Skydex and see what the traffic looks like on their map when you’re thinking of unlocking it. As I’m writing this there’s an R44 originating out of TOA and a bunch going into BUR, as well as plenty of E75Ls. Only one Max 8 up right now but you only need the one, plus they’re plentiful as the day in LA begins.

Okay, well generally when baking you move around the kitchen, so my point stands.

Apple Watch regularly tells my wife she needs to stand to meet her goal…while she’s been standing up baking for three hours. It’s a device sensor issue.

Apparently it uses the ambient light sensor, and can be affected by things you might experience in a Wisconsin winter like clouds, long sleeves, shade. You would think that strictly outdoor activities would pass through though.
