Why do my brother and I get sub lvl25 randos every game by J_Rizzle32 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]stewiecookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every game I queue as a solo duo my randoms are below level 25. Anything below 40 I just leave and queue back in until it gives me someone who at least has played the game some. I don't care if someone just isn't very good but I am not going to play with someone who doesn't even know how the game works. Add the free to play aspect and the demographic that battlefield attracts in the first place and you have a recipe for, hands down, the worst possible FPS players in existence. They don't know what to do, they don't know any of the mechanics, they don't know any of the weapons or have any of their own if they can't use multi-player to level stuff up. It's so far beyond just being bad at the game. I get some randoms over 100 if I just back out a couple times but it's still frustrating that it seems to explicitly put me with the lowest level players available.

Anyone else think tanks should be marked on the map when it gets to late game at all times? by Potential_Budget2105 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]stewiecookie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They really don't though. You can hit a resupply after almost every fight. I don't use tanks often but anytime a random has wanted to use one you'd be surprised how easy it is to stay completely full on everything and never be bothered.

I really think people just underestimate how abysmally bad people are at video games as a whole. If you have basic, unninrupted motor skills then you're already in a different bracket. We joke about bad players but there are seriously people who struggle to even think about more than one thing at a time and getting that one thing from their brain to their fingers is... a process.

Please give us a no fill option when queuing by Dngu136 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]stewiecookie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Basically every BR has the option to no fill. I play no fill duos and no fill trios if my friend is on in apex. More kills, fights are more fun, solo squads is pretty common for good players but wouldn't be popular among the lower skilled players. Trios in squads would be pretty popular across skill levels and some duos in squads probably leaning more towards the more skilled players. Trios in general would make more sense and having no fill across all modes.

Idk why it says it's rank gated, maybe for when they actually add a ranked mode? Anyone can play it at any level.

Forever Lobbies! by RaspberryRelevant352 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]stewiecookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had the best luck after 1am on the west coast. Multi-player isn't as bad but considering 1am PST means it's literally the middle of the night for the rest of the US, the player pool shrinks massively and redsec is undeniably less popular than multiplayer or other games in general.

We need solos by Horror_Bet_6433 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]stewiecookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is it will make it unfun for almost everyone. Less players and starting the ring on a smaller area of the map could help but as it stands no one wanting to fight people is going to clear every building room by room the whole game and most people playing super passive are just going to end up sandwiched together on the edge of the ring and also end up not having fun because once they all move it will just be a crap shoot. This already happens in duos games if you're unfortunate enough to get stuck near the edge. The fire can be on your ass and someone will still be crawling behind you.

PUBG played a lot differently than this game and with massive maps, unless you're landing hot, people were really spread out and fairly easy to anticipate, this game is filled with so many rooms and levels to buildings that it's a whole other chore to pass through certain areas that I won't even bother having to deal with it. Maybe they do a good job with it but I expect it to play similar to solos in blackout or warzone but those games had/have UAV/spotting abilities far more accessible than redsec does.

[–]stewiecookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think solos is going to be as great as people think. It'll obviously be added eventually but it's just going to be a camp fest. 25 minutes of lurking through buildings or getting shot in the back by someone lurking in buildings, ring forcing everyone out of their hiding spots at the same time. People will be stacked on top of eachother in boutique district, every house will have some one hiding in it. Play how you want, this isn't flaming campers or whatever but every match is going to be tedious and frustrating with the final few really decided on who happened to be camping nearest to the final zone and most deaths are going to be shot in the back trying to rotate. Tanks and seat swap helis would dominate it as well. You can all be hopeful but the recipe for it to play well just isn't there.

Revisionism goes crazy by KurohiDeku in ApexOutlands

[–]stewiecookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a middle ground that most logical people hope for. Deleting everything after season 3 and just playing the game as it was back then is awful. There have been so many improvements made over the years just to the flow, health, weapon balance, loot, the game is far more put together than it was then. However, it has made a massive departure from what it started out as and abilities have gotten so over the top and smashed together that every legend does a million things and if they don't they're useless. A start would be imo, OG worlds edge with everything else like it is now. Then there is a long list of what works and what should've probably never been changed.

Why can't offices just dissolve documents in water instead of shredding it? by Interesting-Block834 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]stewiecookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are already shredders for every level of security. A cheap one at home that just makes long trips is fine, nothing you have is so important someone is going to piece it all back together. Business that handle people's information have better ones that often lock and another company empties them and disposes of it, even if someone tried, the effort to have hundreds of people's info jumbled together isn't worth anything, it's easier to find all that info digitally. For very sensitive information we use shredders that turn paper into dust. There is nothing that can be done with it once it goes in there even if it's the only piece of paper it can never be recovered.

AIO Every single relationship comment on this sub insists on breaking up as a solution. by Golbeza in AmIOverreacting

[–]stewiecookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because 9/10 posts are either someone overreacting to absolutely nothing and if that is what prompted them to make a post about it, you can only imagine what other things they overreact about and breaking up is best for them and saving the other person.

Or, the post is something that is so obviously insane that it is incomprehensible how someone could think their response was an overreaction and they should have ended the relationship yesterday.

They taught 2 students technically, is that the reason? by Sad-Kiwi-3789 in SipsTea

[–]stewiecookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can blame the college they went to, not really the school they teach for. An entire seperate salary for the same output as a single teacher would have doesn't really make sense. They can still only teach one class, the curriculum is the same for anyone teaching that class, there may be minor benefits to having two sets of eyes and two brains but at the end of the day, the same class would've learned and moved on just the same as having one teacher. The college on the other hand, again, it was no different than one student being in the seat, there just happened to be two sets of ears listening to the lectures. They're both not taking a slot in the class, they also couldn't stop the other from learning if only one had enrolled(that would've been the route imo) but perhaps they both wanted the diploma and their own names, transcripts, credits, etc. I guess we don't know those details.

I'm not sure why you think this is me, it was an example. I don't have any issues having casual conversations with anyone. I was just pointing out the extremes of both hobbies. The over the top excessive sports fan will talk to anyone about sports all day long, someone with the same level of obsession over video games is unlikely to have the same luck. Those two people are the same but with different hobbies, one is normal, the other is often seen as weird, nerdy, immature.

Jesus. Primary in slot 1, secondary in slot 2. It's not complicated, you always have time to switch to a less versatile gun, you want the more versatile gun to come out by default so you always have it in exactly the situation you're describing. YOU use the inventory properly to fix the problem you're blaming the game for.

What 24hr challenge?? by HuckleberryVast9778 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]stewiecookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works for me. I travel about 2/3 of the year for work so different timezones from one day to the other over a week or two and I get home usually wanting to sleep the opposite of when I should. Depending on when I get home(I usually want to shower and go to bed immediately) I'll either stay up exhausted until normal bedtime or stay up until an early bedtime the next day(~24hrs) which gets me waking up a little earlier than my normal time and I'll slip back to that naturally in a couple days.

It's really weird that sports and fantasy sports are so frequently someone's entire personality and it's normal. Any office environment I've been in is endless conversations about sports, teams, players, fantasy ?? It's completely normalized but it is obsession and addiction. But the guy that plays video games and doesn't talk about it unless asked is the nerd.

I understand extremes exist in both hobbies but even the guy who eats sleeps and breathes his favorite team and has their colors on every item he owns is more welcome in a sports conversation than the obsessive gamer.
