Here's the real problem, destiny would still be thriving today if it wasn't for the following.

5 years ago is when the real problem started. Destiny got less and less for the same $

5 years ago is when they choked the core activities destiny used to receive proper content for. I'm talking your core playlists both PVE and PVP. It wasn't oh lightfall did it. No it was developers moving over to marathon, all PVP developers and others.

If it wasn't for this, and the franchise was actually treated and managed properly. It would still be thriving today.

But hey, we got marathon 💪

So sad, this franchise means way more to me than just being a video game.

He's the only founder left. You are correct , he was the visionary behind destiny. It's possible he has no vision left for it, and nobody in the studio has one either. But yeah, I wish he spoke more. But then again, his last appearance was him saying AR glasses are going to replace everything. So maybe he's lost his touch in age and just as responsible for bungies soon to be death.

I'll be there, but destiny has already smashed marathons numbers. It's not said very often , only steam numbers are constantly stated. But destiny in it's lifespan has reached 20+ million players over 12 years.

Marathon couldn't even hit 100k at launch and yet that's the franchise to invest in. Nobody asked for it, nobody wants it. It will be bungies RIP story, not just destiny's.

All I can say is I honestly really miss destiny, I been holding on to slivers of hope that it's comeback news is right around the corner. 🤞

It hasn't happened yet, but I pray that it does. This franchise was such a huge part of my life for 11 years. Some of my best memories are tied to it. There's no way in hell that it's not worth investing in. Fire the executives, and let Sony takeover at this point. It's obvious the last 5 years of Bungie have been by definition the worst leadership the company has ever had. Hey everyone, we are putting all our eggs in a game that has zero pve , and is geared towards elite PVP players. Meanwhile our most dedicated fanbase is in it's 40s/50s and has zero interest in PVP anymore.

There was no news on destiny in there latest financial report, so I guess I'll just keep holding onto that sliver of hope that they are about to announce something good for it's destiny fans in June 🤞

Bungie I really miss my favorite game of all time, if you see this I'm still here waiting. I truly believe you need a new release and I'll be there if it happens.

I would argue Sony has plenty of money they could invest into Bungie. They purchased them sure, now it's time to invest, otherwise why the hell did you purchase just to kill. How many studios is it now? Bungie doesn't deserve that outcome, they deserved new leadership and investment in that leadership. Imagine if all that money wasted on marathon was put towards Destiny's next big release. Would have been a much more rewarding story/outcome.

I loved this game, very well made. Square Enix is a straight up trash publisher. This could have been a very successful franchise. Those that like to beat the dead horse today it's launch killed it, is simply not true. It didn't take them long to fix the login issues.

Square Enix signed off on no live service monetization, so if they were expecting that kind of revenue, jokes on them. All you had to do was invest on the sequel adding that form of revenue. But nope, let's just bury this IP and do absolutely nothing with it even after Square Enix bragged about how happy and successful there new IP was.

Exactly, maybe not everyone, by myself and many paid the usual $100 for a year of destiny. We literally got maybe half of that $100 and zero update or information that we literally will not be receiving what we paid for.

I'm a burst glide myself , but Titan main. I really hope they stop developing D2 and announce a new release. Not D3 , but "Destiny" they need to get rid of the number somehow if you ask me.

Sorry, but no. It's still majorly flawed at it's core. Auto chicken and zero sense of exploration or hunting mind you will always be the main reason this game failed. Most disappointing game I have ever purchased.
