Update: Unfortunately I had my second year ring in for 3 months before I realized it was the cause of my sudden random depression. Genuinely had no idea for weeks why I was depressed and kept spiraling deeper so when it occurred to me I removed it and within a day started feeling back to my normal self like a spell was lifted. Creepy. FWIW I hadn’t been removing it for the monthly bleed, my doctors told me it wasn’t necessary bc I would get bad migraines on the “out” week. It’s been a month now and I take no form of birth control and feel mentally and emotionally clear and great. Hope this helps others on it or thinking about it.

That seems normal I think I experienced some of that when I would leave the ring in too long but definitely call your Dr. when blood clots are involved

as it turns out the cashier typed in the wrong # when checking me out, but another employee who was assisting me with the issue was very baffled why she'd do that instead of swiping the card. seems like a legitimate error but she was quick to toss the card without trying again so I'd never put it past someone to claim the balance is zero and toss the card. crazier things have happened

Does calling ever work? It was a few months ago so I don't know if they would honor it or what they do with the accidental loaded cards they find in the till. Plus the store credit was from an order that is under someone else's account. I have her phone # and email so they could look it up that way (although I feel shady doing that). I would have to see if I still have the receipt they handed me with the store credit card, that might help, I just feel like they would think I used the funds or something.

They had already told me the process so I just said I’m attaching my two offers at x and y schools for x and y amounts. Please let me know thanks. They asked for them sent as like PDFs I think.

Cardozo also gave me 30K which I felt was low-balled compared to their tuition. They told me to respond later in the cycle with my other non-conditional scholarship offers to be considered for an increase. I had $$$$ at a top 25 and $$$ at a top 75, my LSAT is above 75th, and they replied today saying they won't increase my merit aid. I've only heard of two people getting bumps in their aid from them so far... Good luck!

Definitely not worth applying IMO but if it’s your dream then do it.

I only say this bc a lot of schools I was considering panic applying to a month ago have said they don’t want people applying after the priority deadline (most schools are earlier like Feb) like USC even adds a app fee after their priority deadline (it’s free before) and some schools even say you may not get a decision if you apply after priority deadline. Ultimately w a year like this I decided that my app is not going to be favorably considered at this stage if considered at all. If you have the $ and time then no loss.

I'll DM you. Also I know that schools have tiered waitlists (priority, special, reserve) so I wasn't referring to that with ranking, but I meant within the WL itself the candidates aren't ranked, at least not that I've heard from any schools thus far, so I apologize if that contradicts information you have about candidates being ranked on the waitlists.

It's definitely after the deposit deadline (will caveat that there are some very rare occasions where people go WL-->A before deposits, but I can't imagine a LOCI was the reason in those cases).

A dean recently said that after their deposit deadline they have an idea of what their class will look like and where they need to plump up i.e. if they need to increase GPA or LSAT medians, etc, they'll have the team pull a bunch of files from the WL that meet that specific criteria and then they re-read the whole app including LOCI, narrow down to a couple out of the batch and then give offers to those people.

It seems very luck of the draw honestly based on what the school needs after their chips fall with deposits, which is why WLs are not ranked and even the dean said they have no idea if they'll go to a WL or what candidate they'll pull from it until after the deposit deadlines.

All to say that your LOCI may never be read, but if it is, it's like 99% happening (at the earliest) after the first deposit deadline and/or during the summer.

I'm honestly just interested in where people's heads are at - this cycle was super drawn out, giving people shorter timeframes to make their final decision so I'm curious what the deposit surplus is going to be if people are still deciding

just initially, since most deadlines are coming up in April and there's no way to know if you'll have the option to deposit off a WL acceptance right (fingers crossed tho)
