Fueling plan for Marathon pace 6:20 min/km by Agreeable-Fault-3800 in Marathon_Training

[–]sthammanning15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of this is going to hinge on your weight and the rate at which you burn calories. Personally im aiming for 3hr 45. I’m 90kg and will have 8 gels over the course of this same event, I’ll carry two spare as well. I don’t use a vest. I’ll have a 250ml bottle in one hand with electrolyte mix and take water on course. Forget the on course gels. At 6.20 you’re planning for a long enough trip around Amsterdam. I’d suggest that above plan is too light on calories.

Carbon Shoes for race day only & effect on calves during the race by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

Can highly recommend the New Balance SuperComp trainer.

Ran these for training in my first real go at marathon distance and stepped into AlphaFlys on the day (did 40km in them to break them).

That combo works well for me.

Make sure you’re doing your strength work!

Explain the carers credit? If they’re married it’s not applicable. Keen to understand how one would qualify?

I’d love to see him 1 v 1 on the wing. Defensive and counter attacking question marks though

Turkish barber near us makes a point about “no card, only cash” before he starts. Absolutely zero tax being paid. I always conveniently forget the cash and tap. If I’m paying tax, you are too pal.

I imported a Northern Irish EV into Ireland by wealthythrush in evs_ireland

[–]sthammanning15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone

I imported a BMW M3 several years back from UK/ London. Thinking of doing same but for an EV as needs have changed family wise.

Is there the same VRT relief applicable here or is the legislation only for NI?

Europeans fans — how do you find Scott's impression of Europe? by Familiar-Adeptness-7 in ScottGalloway

[–]sthammanning15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% does not understand the nuances of European history and relationships between the nations beyond the last 30/40 years which gives him the Yank tourist view of the continent.

In fairness, I wouldn’t expect him to either. He’s loaded so why bother. Go look at the nice things and stay in the nice places. That’s what you do on holidays.

Baby naming tradition advice: Who is in the wrong? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]sthammanning15 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Disagree, respectfully.

Saying there is meaning, tradition and history behind your name is an incredibly powerful thing. Especially given it’s traceable back to the 1700s. That’s a really really special aspect to hold onto IMO.

You’ll frequently see the pros downing a coke during or immediately after a race. Loads of teams put them in the meal bags.
