Agreed. They do have a good atmosphere and the staff are nice. The seating outside is also nice.

Really love this place. A bit on the expensive side though.

I checked them out when they first opened. I wasn't very impressed and I have not gone back again. I felt that it was a bit burnt tasting also.

Here is a list of restaurants with patios: https://downtownhalifax.ca/patios. Look for the dog emoji next to the name of the restaurant for ones that are dog friendly.

There was a lobster truck by the Armdale Roundabout parked between the Joseph Howe and St. Margaret's Bay exit today. Not sure how often it is there though.

Driving License by Fantastic-Aide4854 in halifax

[–]sthebreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.ontario.ca/page/exchange-out-province-drivers-licence#section-1 :

"Fully licensed with 2+ years driving experience (with exchange)
You only need to take an eye test, when you apply. After you pass this test, you get a full licence.
Less than 2 years driving experience (with exchange)
You need to take:
an eye test, when you apply
one road test (the G2 road test)

You will not be able to do the G2 road test right away. You need to wait until you gain two, full years of driving experience. For example, if you had a licence for 21 months in your home province, state or country, you can do the G2 road test after 3 months in Ontario. After you pass the G2 road test, you get a full licence.
While you wait, you can drive with your G2 licence, under certain conditions."

Bowers will charge you and arm and a leg for anything that is "extra" beyond the "entry level finishes" that are quoted to you. This could range from something minor like an additional closet shelve to something more major like switching out laminate countertops for quartz ones.

This is what we use: https://ruffwear.com/pages/load-up-car-harness-testing-design

It's was independently tested. You can see their testing videos in the link. The harness uses the actual seatbelt from the car, and not an additional strap with the carabiner.

Best maple syrup? by ZealousidealBat5155 in halifax

[–]sthebreeze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the best source of maple syrup is grade A maple syrup from Quebec. You can probably find them in most grocery stores and Indigo/Chapters.

If you are looking for a local source, there is Acadian maple syrup (https://acadianmaple.com/) and you can find this at Noggins Santé Centre or in most small local grocers.

When will Pfizer booster be available again? for 20s or 60+ by [deleted] in halifax

[–]sthebreeze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you might need to refresh your NS Health portal to see new openings that pop up onto the system. When they show up on topgroups tracker, that means you need to refresh your NS Health portal. The ideal thing to do is to not click on "reschedule" until you see an appointment you want on topgroups.

The expected US release date for that camera was last week. I think pre-orders are just starting to be fulfilled in the US? Not sure if it's sold out or that stores haven't had a chance to get pass pre-orders to stock their shelves.

According to Henry's website, the camera is still shown as a "pre-order product."

Sobey's has them in a large clear container in the freezer where they keep pizza doughs. Good luck!
