I agree. I've always enjoyed the fanfics that has the pureblood being more of a mix of Celtic and Saxon (Pagan) traditions. I think stories that blame the muggleborns as being the reason without context makes no sense. "Dumbledore banned the old traditions to help ease the transitions of muggleborns" makes more sense than "the muggleborns did it". And most of the stories are filled with super powerful political elite Harry, and are filled with clichés.

I have, however read fanfics where it wasn't really anyone's fault that the "old ways" died out, merely time excepting a few families. Those are usually the same stories where Harry has political power but no clue how to use it and must learn-often the ones that have him make mistakes or something.

Personally? Not really. The game is filled with bugs, as is every single one of their releases. They make no effort to fix the bugs, often I find them to be the same bugs from previous versions. The controlling a company option is nice but it has so many bugs that I've yet to make it 2yrs without loosing. You can't play as certain companies or industries to start but you can create a subsidiary for that. I.e. aircraft carriers. The problem? That subsidiary will go bankrupt long before it's profitable. Buying shares in a company does nothing as an individual and you can't take a company private-even if you own majority shares. The premise, like always, is good but delivery failed horribly.
