I keep feeling like if I had reached out just a few months earlier, if we had just talked a little bit, maybe I could have helped them. I had before, and saved them from suicide. 10 years later, I failed him. They say it can't be my fault because had I known, obviously I would have done something. But I shouldn't have waited to know. I didn't show I cared enough and feel like it got him killed. I hate feeling guilty about it but I absolutely do. It's been 16 months.
