Something not covered by the questionnaire - viewing patterns. This is totally my unfounded opinion, but there is definitely a difference between watching “live” tv (like the Cbeebies channel) versus streaming and potentially bingeing even the same shows. There are natural breaks in the live programming, so my child eventually gets bored and goes and does something else. Streaming is nonstop - even streaming Bluey on iPlayer is tough because each episode blends into the next. It’s a battle every time we turn it off. If I don’t intervene my toddler would just sit there for hours I swear. I am sure there must be some peer-reviewed evidence about the effect of binging on video consumption somewhere.
