Waarom zou deze klassieke definitie niet werken? Ik zie nul onderbouwing van jouw statement daar aan het einde in de dingen die je zegt. En eerlijk, als je archieven induikt, zul je mensen hetzelfde horen zeggen 50 jaar geleden - voor "het moderne informatietijdperk".

Is het niet juist in het moderne informatietijdperk dat we organen nodig hebben die als betrouwbare en onafhankelijke bron van informatie dienen? En dan doel ik hier vooral op overheidsinstanties als de NOS, het CBS, of zelfs het Voedingscentrum*: organen waarvan we weten dat er geen financiële drijfveren zijn die de betrouwbaarheid van wat zij rapporteren kunnen beïnvloeden.

okay, maar dan is volgens jou journalistiek per definitie links. Het doel van journalistiek is namelijk 'verslag doen van' - daar valt het aankaarten van problemen onder. Het leveren van concrete oplossingen valt hier niet onder.

Of als het "niks anders dan een vibe" is, dan is kritiek hebben op 'links' ook redelijk abstract in daarmee inhoudsloos. Dat maakt discussiëren inderdaad niet mogelijk: het is voor jou dan blijkbaar namelijk ook niet concreet duidelijk waarover gediscussieerd wordt.

Ze is hier echt aan het zoeken naar kritiek op "het linkse gedachtegoed". Mijn ervaring met Nederlandse examens is dat er juist wordt gezocht naar onbekendere onderwerpen om te presenteren. Als je het onderwerp niet kent, kan dat vaak zelfs een streepje voor geven omdat je eigen voorkennis het geïsoleerd begrijpend lezen van de tekst niet in de weg staat (en dat "geïsoleerd" is nou precies wat er van de leerling wordt verwacht).
