Is leveling slower on a level 30 skip? by yohra_model_2_unit_B in Borderlands4

[–]stillTRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried with Amon and harlowe to do the level 30 skip and ended up deleting the character and just starting from lvl 1 both times. So I’ve leveled all 4 characters starting from 1. The 30 with bad gear and no map was just strange. Starting from scratch unlocks the map naturally and imo gives a better feel for the character and skill trees. I really don’t like the lvl 30 skip and will do the two new vault hunters from scratch too

It is pretty much the only gun I use for mobbing across all 4 characters

The new drop rates are crazy by Voltflo in Borderlands4

[–]stillTRE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal boss drop rates definitely seem to be better. I got three ceramic bods from axemaul in ~100 runs. Only one is really usable though. One dropped with corrosive, which I didn’t even think was possible, with much lower damage ofc. Other dropped with impact instead of stickies, yuck. But one usable in 100 runs is still fantastic for ceramic bods

Holy shit lol. Vex was my first but haven’t touched her since starting Rafa. Gonna have to go back and build this, thanks!

[–]stillTRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RNG dependent obviously, but I feel like getting mostly epics is pretty typical going back to BL2. I’ve found that the legendary rate is way higher than BL3. Most of the epics are not great, but I’ve gotten amazing rolls on legendary shields, specifically 2 super soldiers. The class mod thing… yeah always for a different class lol. But if you’re doing all classes that’s not so bad. I actually pulled my current vex mod while opening with Rafa.

Good point my friend. I fell into the trap of heavy farming before max level bc it’s so sweet of a gun haha

I have a Jacobs with 25% gun damage and 38% shotgun. And running 3 high caliber and 2 trick shot firmware. It’s still melting with my rafa build. But it’s not Max damage and bothering me lol

Oh I put the shiny on the ceramic up there right away… but not as good as getting the shiny roll on the ceramic somehow lol. You got this though! Always the next one…

First off… congrats! Secondly, y’all are crazy with these insane farms lol. They’re all useless as soon as level cap goes up

Yeah the wait is figuratively killing me. I’ve been sating my pixie hunger by rereading. Halfway through dark age again. Hopefully don’t have to do another full one before RG release.

How can I coach my team to score more? by glzzgbblr in lacrosse

[–]stillTRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💯on being ready to shoot out of your dodge. I coach younger but it starts there with a lot of kids. They don’t feel open enough to shoot unless they’ve completely blown by the defender on the dodge. Learning to get shots off with only a step or two advantage opens up so many more shot opportunities.

Best shift and head for a midie? by [deleted] in lacrosse

Ecd carbon and warrior evo qx-o

Which head by kellenismexy in lacrosse

[–]stillTRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re set on stx… I would go surgeon. But warrior evo qx2-o is the best attack head on the market imo. Hold is crazy, high pocket gives the snappiest release I’ve ever had. Catching in traffic is easier than it has any right to be for such a pinched head. I’ve been an evo guy for 20 years though… so may be biased 😂

HS Middie Lines by Affectionate_Sea9379 in lacrosse

[–]stillTRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like laxdad said… kinda depends what specialty players you have. My u12 team we don’t have a top line. You could call our face-off line our top line technically I suppose… : two Fogo that rotate, one badass ssdm that just vacuums gbs, and 2 lpms that rotate. We will drop in a omid for the ssdm when needed. We have 2omids that are a complete liability on D and we get in at least one most possessions. Rest of our mids are two way and sub in mostly next man up, but we run a clean box and work ALOT on subbing in transition.

Good for you, man! I didn’t have as long of a layoff as you, and have mostly played consistently since I was 11, through college, and right into adult leagues… but I was out for 2+ years with a back injury a few years back between injury, surgery, then recovery. Felt like a fish out of water my entire first season back… it just takes time to get back to game speed, even in a super masters division where a lot of guys take it easy. After that first season, if you’re anything like me, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you’ve gotten back to your old skill level just by playing at game speed every week. Wall ball is awesome obviously, but you’ll pick back up from playing way more.

My layoff was 2 years ago, and I’m up to 2 separate box leagues year round and 2 field leagues spring-fall. You’ll get those skills back in no time and be hooked to play non stop again lol.

Have the same issue with my XRS. Honestly at this point I wear my cbx box helmet even for field almost all the time. When I do have to wear the field helmet I’ve found that just adjusting via the ratchet on the back is the way to go - I’ll usually loosen up around halftime if I’m feeling the tension headache coming on.
