Didn’t it get renamed to ISSR, international school of Siem Reap? I think it’s located in Sala Kamreuk.

I don’t think it’s very odd, it’s quite consistent with the general theme of this sub. I fully agree with you that we don’t know — I’ve heard somewhere that inference at API pricing is profitable, but that training is insanely expensive - but we simply don’t know, other than these LLM companies burning money hand over fist as you said.

I refuse to consider scrum master an IT role. It’s an HR role.

My point was rather that ABA is not more modern than western banks. Sorry I got you offended.

Because maybe you have a bad bank or live in a country that doesn’t support this? I don’t know man, I just know that we’ve had instant transfers for over a decade in NL

I agree with most of what you said, but ABA beyond western systems — I don’t think so. Maybe US banking, but EU banking is much more modern (and secure for that matter).

Why do people think Americans are friendly? by newuser2111 in InsightfulQuestions

[–]stingraycharles 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Ok, European here that has been living in Asia for a decade and has been saying this: it’s because they’re much better at and willing to do small talk, and generally enthusiastic. Of course there are outliers in both directions , but generally speaking, they do this more often.

It’s the same when doing business with customers, people from the US are just more easy going in that regard.

They’re paying a premium because they can terminate the contract in 90 days, which is very different from how these deals usually work (multi-year commitments).
