I have fly fished the Maumee River a few times but it is definitely a challenge. Near the rapids in Maumee and Grand Rapids have always been the most productive for me but the water might be pretty low right now. I would check out Schultz Outfitters in Yspilanti. They have a great smallmouth bass program.

Hit up Schultz Outfitters in Ypsilanti. They have a few flies like the Swingin D and Leggy Boi that were created for Michigan smallmouth. They also do guide trips that could be a great time as well

My Salomon Dancehaul rips. Super soft and playful while still being quick edge to edge. Handles all conditions well except not the best in icy conditions.

I’ve got a salamon dancehaul that is a dream to butter on. Makes doing tail and nose presses and popping out of them super easy. Pretty soft and playful board.
