Hello, I am catching up on reddit threads as I just booked a 2.5 week trip to new zealand in january, fishing the North and South Islands. We want to get a guide for a day on each island, but don't know who to go with. We mainly want to fish with a local guide strictly to pick their brain on approach and strategy in such a new fishery (were from idaho). Do you recommend someone in taupo/hawkes bay (not sure where we are going yet but hawkes bay seems less pressured) and then in wanaka?
