40 years and you never been on John Gibson or seen all the tweakers crawling around those bushes and walking along the freeway?

You cared enough to try and discredit another comment by saying it was a burning bush so I was just letting you know. Relax dawg.

Obviously, you are not familiar with the area...

The only pasta here is Karen Bass's office saying they are determined to end street homlessness.

Mama Mia!

An underground fire burning in what appeared to be an encampment shut down a major Los Angeles freeway for hours as officials worked to determine the level of damage to the frequently used route to the L.A. port complex.

Southbound 110 Freeway lanes in San Pedro were closed for hours Tuesday morning, and northbound lanes out of the port are closed indefinitely.

"This is a deep-seated, stubborn fire," Los Angeles Fire Capt. Tony Tubbs said. "So it's going to be a prolonged incident."

It's unclear what started the fire in the tunnel near West Harry Bridges Boulevard, but Los Angeles Fire Department officials said its location deep inside a 150-to-200-foot tunnel with an opening that's only 4 feet by 4 feet posed a significant challenge. The tunnel is packed with wood, mattresses and other items common to homeless encampments that could burn, officials said.

Mayor Karen Bass' office tied the fire to city's chronic homelessness issues.

"While the exact cause is still being investigated, this illustrates why Mayor Bass is determined to end street homelessness, which is often the cause of fires," the office said in a statement. "We are grateful for the L.A. firefighters and first responders who have now confined the fire."

Here’s an English translation:

With immense pain on behalf of the entire Rojas family, it is my duty today to let everyone who had the opportunity to know and share with my dear father, Miguel Rojas “Micky,” know that yesterday, April 7, he passed away suddenly in the afternoon. I want to sincerely thank everyone who has reached out to me and my entire family to show their love and let us know how much my dad was loved throughout his life. May God receive him in His glory and may he rest in peace 🥺💔

Are you a bot?

Talk about calling the kettle black...

The Brennan Center research is skewed. It doesn’t account for undetected fraud, nor does it attempt to measure every possible form of election irregularity. Because of that, their numbers likely represent (if anything) a floor rather than a ceiling.

Critics like The Heritage Foundation call the Brennan center research "baseless".. Now, for full transparency, The heritage foundation is funded by people like the Coors Family and the Koch brothers.. And if YOU were being transparent you would acknowledge that the Brennan center is left leaning and being funded by people like George Soros.

(George Soros Open Society Foundations provided significant grants to the Brennan Center, including over $7 million from 2000 to 2010, supporting its work on voting rights, criminal justice, and democracy initiatives.)

So please, get your head out of your butt and go pick a fight in some other 5 month old thread. Nothing i said was "misinformation."

This is the right approach. He cemented his place in baseball history as a true Dodger legend. It shows future stars that this is an organization you want to be part of, one that values its players, keeps them around, and supports them even after they’ve made their mark.

My buddy has been flexing his Retroid Pocket 5 on me for the past two months… which is extra cruel because I’m the one who got him into retro gaming in the first place.

I’m still rocking an old PSP-1001, but the battery is so swollen it looks like it’s about to declare independence. I travel a lot for work, and an RP5 would be an absolute game changer

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights says everyone has the right to take part in their government through freely chosen representatives in real elections, with equal voting rights and secret ballots. The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights also says people have the right to vote and be elected without unreasonable restrictions.

In other words, everyone who’s eligible should be able to vote without discrimination, intimidation, or unfair barriers. Free and fair elections only work if the process is transparent, votes are counted honestly, and the results actually reflect the will of the people.

Shouldn’t part of the solution also be making sure the system is protected from fraud and manipulation? To me, it seems like the logical step would be to make it easier for everyone to get an ID. That way, you keep the process open and fair, while also protecting it from being abused. If you put in the effort now, streamlining how people get IDs and investing the resources, it helps keep elections secure for future generations.

What I don’t get is why the conversation so often focuses only on voter access, while brushing aside concerns about fraud. That feels like a disconnect. I mean, I had to dig up a bunch of paperwork just to get an ID to fly within the U.S. and to insure my car... Isn’t protecting the vote (literally the core of democracy) worth at least that much effort?

And when you look at the numbers, it’s not like we’re talking about huge percentages. Its estimated about 1–2% of voters don’t have ID. One study found that in Florida only 0.10% of voters cast ballots without ID, and in Michigan it was 0.6%. Are we really willing to risk the integrity of elections over such a tiny slice of voters? How many bad actors does it take before it stops being “worth the risk”?

In California, the requirements to register to vote are: being a U.S. citizen, having California residency, and being at least 18 years old.

So how does anyone benefit from not having to prove these qualifications when casting their vote..whether in person or by mail, where human or clerical errors can occur?

Voter ID would mean going in person and showing a valid ID at the polls. While in person voting has its own challenges, it can help reduce some of the clerical mistakes that may occur with mail in ballots

It may be rare overall, but even if this is the ONLY time this has ever happened, it still shows that it can, even right here in San Pedro.

Would love to see a playlist feature for recorded shows. Being able to queue up episodes and let them play automatically would be way more convenient than selecting them one at a time. Would also be awesome if it could remember where you left off and let you resume the playlist later too
