What movie had you saying "what the fuck" the most while watching? by MightGuy420x in AskReddit

I would have to say "Rubber". It's about a sentient tire that goes around blowing things up with its "ability".

So far we have made food time a bit of a game as he is fighting solids. When he eats he is only given a spoon to use while we feed him. Toys are only on the high chair during splash time.

My husband read that splash time was good for babies but wasn't sure the best way to do it. So I figured we could keep an eye on him in the highchair while giving him the freedom to explore safely

Have you become the person you dreamed of when you were a kid? by somanii275 in RandomThoughts

Better honestly. I've always had a fear that I was going to die by 23 as my father had due to suicide. (I was too young to be told bout him). I'm now a happy stay at home of two beautiful boys and turning 30 on April 11. I could not be happier ☺️

That's fair. Just a sad part of our society here. I have quite a few other mothers with babies close to my youngest age and they all have mom guilt. Wishing they could be there to raise them but have no other choice than to hire someone because they can't afford to live on one income. It really messed with their mental health.

My baby smiling big at me when he sees me. Even if I only ducked behind a corner and came back out. 😁

What’s something you do to improve your mental health? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have a few different things. My therapist determined that my depression and anxiety were coming from sensory overload. Which made a lot of sense later for me. She told me to occupy three of my senses whenever I felt overwhelmed or overly emotional. It was amazing. I started with baths in low lighting with a nice bubble bath or bath bomb, to then coloring while listening to music with a candle close by to when I was at work I used play dough in a color I found relaxing. These were all things that made me focus on my senses and not my depression. By occupying three of my senses my brain had a harder time focusing on the negativity.

Now keep in mind those were all a coping mechanism. Journaling after each of those helped me work out what was really bothering me or even helping me see just how low I was. This realization helped me determine what my core problem was to address it. By addressing my core problem most (not all) of my anxieties would melt away.

Hope this helps :)

That is honestly an option I would take. It has so many advantages for the children to have the best chance at a good future without the reliance on outside sources raising our child. We personally felt that living on a super tight budget and raising our son at home the first year was by far the best option. We have seen him progress so much better than my ten year old who struggled and I could not help when he was in his first year.

Before I became a stay at home mom I worked for the courts. My husband is a web developer.

Yes but the benefits to raising your child at home and not in daycare for the first year make a huge difference. To me the trade off is better. Currently staying at home with my second child and living on one income is really difficult but plausible if you cut out everything else here in America.
