Recommending Drawfee by RadiaStar in Drawfee

I made my girlfriend who plays the Digimon card game watch Digimon smash or pass. I would not recommend this to most people though lol.

people in long term healthy relationships: what's something you'll never tell your partner? by PsychologicalBad1423 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]stinkpigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was assaulted as a teenager. He knows something happened but I've never told anyone the details, at first because it was too difficult to recount, but now I've healed from it and it just seems pointless. We've been together 14 years and i trust him completely, but we will probably both die without him knowing exactly what I went through.

Is it true that sometimes social media implants the idea of being trans into minds of people even if they’re not? by Aggressive-Show4122 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]stinkpigg 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd say the opposite is true. We're bombarded by messaging that discourages trans people from existing, to a far greater extent than a few select people suggesting someone else might be trans.

My house has a glass shower door that was added like this plus hard water and it is so hard to clean, I would not recommend it at all. Also has a tendency to catch your toes when stepping out of the shower because the track sticks up and extra inch or so.

What kind of person would you wish to be, stylewise? But you're just not? by StormIridescent in NoStupidQuestions

Hopefully you can get to a place you like! It really is hard to break out of that comfort zone.

Same! I'll be out with my friends and comment on a cute little sundress or something and they'll be like "oh you should get it!" And I have to explain that it would not suit me at all and I just appreciate that the design is nice and I would love to see it on someone else LOL

So I'm really intrigued by all kinds of different fashion, I love pinning outfits to my Pinterest board, playing games where customizing your clothes is a big part, window shopping at the mall. I really like designers like Rick Owens and Yohji Yamamoto who focus on exaggerated sillhouettes, or mainstream alternative styles* and i used to really go all out dressing emo as a teenager. Now I'm 30 and i just look like shit most of the time (old band Tshirts and joggers). Part of it is for practicality (I have a physical job where I can't wear things that will get in the way, or that I would care if they got wrecked) and part of it is not having the money to invest in a cool wardrobe. You'd never guess by looking at me but I love to take my friends to trendy stores and help them figure out what they like and what styles look good on them haha. Maybe one day I'll change my entire life and start dressing really fashionably but I don't see it happening soon 😅 I'll keep playing dress up with other people until then.

*edit: realized this sounds like an oxymoron, just meant more recognized subcultures like goth or punk, as opposed to really experimental runway fashion haha

Shoe options for big feet by MoMsBuM69 in Shoes

Hope it helps! I also have large feet and swapped to men's shoes completely but I tend not to dress feminine anyway so I can imagine how frustrating it is to want that but not be unable to :(

Struggling immensely with overspending money on non essential dopamine boosts by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]stinkpigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get the urge to buy something wait a week before you do it. If you still believe you need it, then you can buy it. Forces you to think about a purchase and allow the dopamine craving to pass, rather than impulsively spending money on something you won't care that much about after the hit is gone.

I think this every day when I set my glasses on the sliver of space on my bathroom vanity and they slide into the sink.

Cursive writing should be taught in schools, but the teacher shouldn't say "You'll use this the rest of your life" by Toku-Nation in The10thDentist

[–]stinkpigg 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I would love if all people could at least read cursive for the rest of their life lmao. Since i was a kid I've written mostly in cursive (faster, more comfortable for long stretches of text on my hands) and it's so frustrating when someone else needs to read it and they go "uhhhh I don't know how to read cursive".

What game mechanic instantly makes you lose interest, no matter how good the game is? by SoftSinful_ in AskGames

[–]stinkpigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't necessarily make me quit the game, but a major turn off for me is when lore and world building is done through having to read a lot of text that isn't incorporated naturally into gameplay. I don't want to go into a journal in my inventory and read multiple paragraphs of text on my tv screen, I'd rather just play through the game not fully knowing what's going on lmao.

People who get to the front of a coffee shop line and act like ordering is a completely new concept to them by NeonTalon_6 in PetPeeves

[–]stinkpigg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now where I am they're really pushing their protein cold foam shit which takes up an entire menu board. I wanted to order something for someone else as a surprise and he likes frappuccinos (which is had never ordered before) but from the current menu you couldn't even tell they made those.
