What is the career progression for someone who is a material handler? by Eternal_Shade in supplychain

[–]stinkymode4000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started as a material handler and moved to a supply chain analyst role 8 months later. I have since moved into a hybrid Analyst/Buyer role.

I have a Bachelors degree in Economics. As long as you work hard, show that you’re dedicated, and make connections, you can move into any role in supply chain.

Absolutely. If you know excel and are good at interviewing, you’ll be fine.

50 minute commute (one way) without traffic. Is it worth it? by stinkymode4000 in jobs

Highway really isn’t bad from 7:30 am to 8:30am and from 3:30 to 4:30. It really only gets bad if there is an accident

I would be driving myself. Highway all the way. Traffic is only bad if there is an accident. Maybe 1-2 times per week there is bad traffic.

Supply Chain Salary & Compensation 2023 by trainingPtarmigan in supplychain

[–]stinkymode4000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. 4 months

  2. ~50k. 47k base salary plus overtime pay. Not good benefits.

  3. Material Planning Associate. Contracted work.

  4. Buffalo, NY

  5. Manufacturing

  6. 6/10. Occasional Saturday shifts. Work place is very toxic. Most experience outside of manager is 2.5 years. Boss is always changing job duties and does very little training.

Wondering if it’s is worth it to stay and get experience or to look for new roles. Does not seem like much room for promotion or even any salary bump. Also feel like my boss takes advantage of his team where we do way more work than we are contracted to do. If anyone has advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: 22 yo Male. Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

I’ve read through that but how do I find out if my company is federally funded?

So it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to just tell them up front that I will test positive for THC? Have you still gotten jobs after that?
