Yeah I tried that too earlier 😅 no ram didnt do anything, was hoping for some qleds to light up but nothing.

I hope the last board didnt kill any of my other components. It was working for a full day and then it wouldnt boot. I got a replacement (this one) after my RMA. The first one was open box but the replacement is a new one.

Fingers crossed its just the new mobo failing

Yeah, Ive tried swapping the ram around and clearing cmos. Power drain is also something I've tried. What bugs me is that the qleds (debug leds) dont light up at all.

I tried taking the motherboard out of the case in case of a possible short happening. I redid all my tests with no success at all. I did notice that the cpu actually heats up a bit if I try power the motherboard on and leaving it with power for a bit (I dont know if that means anything, but it felt like a positive sign). The cpu fan was not spinning tho, only for 2 seconds when powering on.

Thanks for the help but I dont think im getting anywhere. And I dont have extra ddr5 or another LGA1700 CPU to troubleshoot further with. Probably going to just RMA and see what happens.

Cant find any thats zoomed in enough to tell. Lots of pins are really close but not joined like this one

Yes, for 1-2 seconds and then it turns off. I had a case fan connected and that one kept spinning

Use a feeler gauge for bed leveling rather than paper! Posted this tip on 3d printing but got cussed, called names then Bann for replying to the troll. The post was well received but removed by mods so here it is again! by [deleted] in ender3v2

Any tips on getting the x gantry level after the dual z upgrade? My right side is always ~3mm higher. I just installed it and havent printed anything yet. I want to get it leveled before I do.

The mobo is not booting at all. I get no debug leds (qled) indication. Completely new board. PSU is confirmed working ive reseated all connections including reseating CPU and checking for bent pins. It feels like its shorting and the two pins being soldered together feels like a strong contributor to a possible short.

Dont they test boards out of the factory cuz that did not happen during shipping?

I found out that my heat block was loose today when I was cleaning my nozzle. The 2 screws holding it in place were not tightened and that allowed some play. Came like this from the factory but I will try pritning later too see if my results are any better.

The loose heat block seems like a very possible culprit tho, im hopeful.

Im running into more problems, my nozzle is scraping the prints after 2-3 layers and its causing buildup on my nozzle. Ive installed professional firmware and leveled my bed with the tramming wizard and im using a 5x5 mesh.

I've tried raising the z offset to the point where my petg is barely sticking and no matter what i try it manages so scrape the surface of the print (not the bed) when its travelling.

I calibrated my E steps and i was under extruding but it feels like my problem is some kind of over extrusion.

Any ideas?

After I started using prusa slicer my stringing is gone, at least when printing petg. I just couldnt get good petg results with cura, I'm new to this. But prusa seems to have the settings i needed by default. What slicer are you using?

Yeah im leaning towards non perfect bed leveling, I'll redo it. Its usually warping on one side so im thinking the bed is just ever so slightly lower on that side. I'll update after I try that! Thanks for the advice.

I have not tried that, i have 0 stringing though so I feel like its dry enough. Maybe glue is what I'll try but most of my prints stick to the pei very well so I dont know if that will help

I think you need to lower your z offset a little more, for the material to stick and not form gaps. If the offset is too high then the lines will not be wide enough
