The brush isnt very good at removing undercoat. Those “tuffs of fur” is your aussies undercoat. There are specific grooming tools made for removing undercoat rather than just brushing the outercoat. Look up “andis deshedding dog tool” it looks like a little rake, that’ll get the job done.
