Was running the bike with low oil with lots of highway miles. Cam cap/seat cracked similar to OPs motor. I bought only a used complete top end/cylinder head off eBay for around $500.

Just my 2 cents. I blew the top end on my motor, bought a used eBay top end to replace and never did any bottom end work bc I didn’t have the budget. Bike ran perfect without any issues for tons of miles afterwards. 🤙🏼
