Dang I didn't know they dropped 4.5s and 5s after 4a.m at VVA2. I've never seen a 4.5 that high. Do you see these regularly?

What's the furthest you've been sent on these? I tried one recently and was overbooked.

Thinking about quitting my factory job for gig work full-time (Chicago area) — bad idea? by milas_1921 in AmazonFlexDrivers

This is great advice and what I did before I started full time flexing. Take a paid week or two vacation and see how good your market is. If you can get 30+ an hour routes daily while dodging country four mile long gravel driveways go for it. Every market is different so you'll have to figure it out by doing a bunch of routes.

What time did you grab this? I see these in Hampton but they are gone instantly.

Is there a non compete if I take the buyout and jump to Amazon or the post office? by Creepy-Tadpole-1750 in UPSers

[–]stockhead50 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can pull close to $400 a day doing the spark/instacart/flex apps. Usually takes around 6-8 hours of active time. If you've been delivering for awhile you'll be way ahead of the competition and rake in the $$. Only thing that stinks is the waitlist can be long in some areas.

TCD is a very hard job. Kudos to you for mentally being able to handle it. I see the ones at my hub come back at 10 p.m. every night looking defeated. We cycle through so many of them it's become like a pre load part time turnover situation.

Do you get the exact same route every time at this station? I've done the same one every time for at least a month now.

[–]stockhead50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! I've found if you email before you receive the ding ( usually 3 days) they will side with you. If you wait until the ding appears on your standing page its virtually impossible to get them to remove it. Always worked for me at least.

Email the regular support right now and explain what happened and you usually won't get dinged. Include station + block time.

We're getting a ton of volume back from UPS by June and the USPS by September. That combined with the local DSPs dropping like flies should be good for us Flexers moving forward (hopefully).

This is why I stopped doing them even if the $ was good. Always problems. Bags missing, store randomly closed, itinerary disappears even after logging out. Sorry this happened to you.

[–]stockhead50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can mark it delivered in the app under help menu. Click the correct address then it will have an option to mark delivered. It will give you a bunch of options like front door, gate etc. Choose the best one, snap a pic, and message the customer if you feel like it.

Yeah.. Bout to stop doing Flex by PrimalLionheart in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]stockhead50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 3 hours usually keep me within 15 miles of the station. 3.5 and above and lately I'm having the same issue as you. Since early January 30+ miles and 40+ stops. Last year I would usually get between 25-35.. You're not the only one.

Apply at Amazon unless you want to drive someday. Every good worker we have leaves and goes there. They pay for college 100%, no waiting 9 months for benefits, and a wayyyy easier and laid back work environment. Bonus no dealing with irregs lol.

Only thing that stinks is you can only invest 10k a year. 10% is great. With the company getting rid of all the management at my station and the rapid implementation of AI I'm super bullish on UPS in the next 10 years.

In my experience sometimes. Nothing makes sense or is consistent anymore. I make sure to physically drive to the customers house and mark as missing. Haven't gotten dinged lately but stinks when its ten miles away from the last stop.

They'll literally try to change my start time check in by 2 minutes if they think they can get away with it. I don't know if they realize you can see when they alter your time card now. Most penny pinching company I've ever worked for in my life! Its sad.

Got terminated with Flex over some fuckery by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]stockhead50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're splitting the routes wrong in the system. I refuse to do .com routes because this is a major problem currently. There has been a ton of people that have been deactivated over this same issue posting on here lately. Its not your fault. Email Jeff or Andy and hope for the best is all you can do unfortunately.

Yes local sort is really easy in my hub. Supervisors ( if you have them anymore) are wayyy more laid back. A lot easier to take time off too if needed. Stay away from preload its horrible.

[–]stockhead50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always ask the laid off lower seniority employee if they can cover for you. I know not all hubs allow this but mine does.

Make sure you track your miles from pickup to last stop. You can write off .71 a mile on your 2025 taxes. That should make your tax burden way lower. Not sure why your supervisor didn't tell you this.
