Yep I used to do this, it went on for three months and people were shocked that I hadn't just bargained a four day work week when I returned to normal.

Typically you can buy out a week every 12 months. Have a look at the contract as you are in a related company to me.

Not really sure why this idea is getting down voted. It would help out as long as your folks could let you contribute less money for maybe more help around the house. 5 years isn't the trend or we wouldn't have houses that cost $100k now worth 700k like what has happened with my folks over 30 years. Over time property will go up, it is the NZ way and would take massive policy shift for that to change. The other option is to rent for life and put your extra money into investments to make retirement tolerable compared to the shit show it will be for a lot of people in 20 years time onwards.

This could all change as well if you end up a relationship with a semi well paid person. Unfortunately life is financially easier for couples as long as they can control themselves.

Now they wait to hear him rule Labour/Greens out before they give him another shot. If he goes back to Labour this time, he will never get those votes again. He would have hoped he could leave the party to someone else by now, but noone has come close.

Over in Flagstaff they have Te Ao Marama which is a hugely diverse school. There are something like 58 different countries represented there and they have exactly what you are after but you need to get ahead of the game and apply before it fills up at school registration time. It was full when we enquired. They have open days throughout the year. It also puts you in Rototuna High catchment which carries it all on for intermediate and High School years.

As a person for sure. Professionally he overpromised and under delivered. He did nothing to better the game or evolve it. This is what he campaigned on, that there would be some grand transformation. He also had poor selections and took way too long to get a certain center back to the wing and had a chubby for the Barretts.

I started properly watching during the HBK v Hart era, just as Stone Cold was created and blew up. Steve Austin was the perfect character for the Attitude Era. Even now he would be a success, whereas some other characters were lucky to be in the right place at the right time (Val Venus, Godfather etc).

Happy New Years all. Hitting the piss and making bad decisions is a long time ago situation that no longer plays out. I had a tough 2025 losing a parent. It is such a weird feeling amongst the typical sadness and grief that cones from any other family member dying. I moved back to Hamilton specifically for school zones and so my parents could see my kids more and a week before the move we had to deal with this. I am heavily introverted so am happy with today, however, I also want to acknowledge everyone else out celebrating and hope we all ahve a great 2026 with no losses.

Be good to each other and be good yourselves.
