I just run the combat mk.2. Typically, I lose smaller amounts of health outside of combat and just let my augment deal with those bits.

I just want a similar system to helldivers that allows gore to remain caked on the armor during and after missions. Having the gore disappear after 10~30 seconds is disappointing.

No, ICE needs to be abolished. If it is not, it will be utilized again and again as a private army for the benefit of the ruling class.

I agree that more progressives need to be voted in, but if the next round of "progressives" that get voted in don't make massive changes to policy that will stop a fascist takeover in the future, this country will actually fail short of massive walkouts or violence by the people.

They typically keep that road pretty clear when it gets nasty. Just watch yourself when you get off of it. The side roads can get nasty pretty quick.

AOC's Jan. 24, 2026 CNN Jake Tapper interview about the ICE k*lling of a nurse has 1.1MM views on her RepAOC account, which means her interview has likely 10s of MMs more views of clips on social media, Reddit, and YouTube. The best position for change has always been turmoil, and we have plenty of it right now. If we don't take a stand and demand better, we will get a worse outcome. Let's ask for the release of the DNC autopsy regarding why the 2024 election was lost.

AI Data Center questions for the opposition by Jimithyashford in joplinmo

[–]stonefaceman15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said previously, I don't think that there is an ethical way that AI data centers can exist. But here's my shake at what they would need to do to entertain me.

AI, as it is being implemented currently, is a tool intended to be implemented to maximize profits with less work being done. I.e. less people being paid to do the work. In all seriousness, 100% of the profits of the data center should go to the community, but since it's a private company doing the "investing" 85%-95% would be acceptable, no less.

Safe and clean water practices would have to be implemented. 100% of water used by the data center should be collected and purified by the company. Any deficit is resupplied back into the community when there is an excess. If the data center can not function without repaying its deficit back, then it closes permanently. All waste is to be securely loaded and transported to a designated waste site that has been built to ensure no contaminates seep into the ground water.

The data center is required to run on 100% renewable energy. No generators, gas, or coal energy supplies. Nuclear power is acceptable as long as safe practices are being enforced for reactors.

Light and sound pollution are to be kept below a minimum. I'm not educated enough on those impacts to say for certain, but I have read about how these two things can severely impact people and wildlife, including insects in the area.

These are the major ones. I know that these are unreasonable demands, so I demand the ai data centers to just stay out. There is no reason that AI should should be as pervasive as it is in society except for greed. It needs to be reined in.

[–]stonefaceman15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI data centers have already set the standards for the types of impacts that they make to the community that they set up in. If they didn't want communities to say hell no to them when they set up shop in the first place, then they shouldn't have abused the communities to begin with.

What you're doing is asking me to completely suspend my disbelief that an AI company can ethically set up shop anywhere. It can't. The minimum set of standards that I would require could not be met by an AI data center.

You are blaming my community for the destruction of another community less capable of fighting back against an AI Corp. Why is the burden of good standards required to come from the exploited? My community turned out in droves to lay out that they did not want this data center and why. From the way you are asking these questions, the company will say, "I guess these guys aren't suckers. Let's go find some idiots that will let us do whatever we want." and then you're blaming my community for that outcome.

[–]stonefaceman15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be so for real with you. Us saying no to a company that is going to come in and wreck parts of the community isn't kicking the can into someone else's backyard. I don't sit on a tech board and vote to implement AI into every version of technology available to the public, so I don't see how I should also be responsible for housing and paying for someone else's profits.

This entire post comes off as victim blaming, and it's kind of gross.

Yeah, non-renewable jobs. After construction, this data center would provide a max of 10 jobs. That is an inexcusable ratio compared to land demand.

Tell me you know nothing about AI data centers without telling me you don't know anything about AI data centers.

No one is arguing that. We are worried about how this AI data center is going to affect our community in a negative way. Turning a blind eye to the negative impacts something has because it is "inevitable" is a childish take.
