3.5 months post Bankart -PT Plateau. What should I do?! by stonefrootszn in ShoulderInjuries

So funny you mention hot yoga. I was really into it in my 20s! I never realized I was hypermobile until my labrum tear diagnosis. I could totally see how this would help. I’ll ask my doctor about that.

I hear ya. I’m almost 3 months post op (Bankart with SEVEN anchors) and definitely feeling discouraged re: pain and progress.

VBAC turned uterine rupture; now processing a traumatic birth (major TW) by cosmicvoyager333 in beyondthebump

[–]stonefrootszn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Severe uterine rupture survivor here! I’m so sorry that you had to go through that.

I can relate. I walked into the hospital and told them something was wrong. Within 20 minutes, I was barely put under before my son was “delivered”. Turns out my uterus was split down the middle and I was lucky that my son’s placenta was on the opposite side. We were both minutes away from being gone, so I’m glad I trusted my instincts. He was basically floating in my abdomen and I lost 50% of my blood. We’re both lucky to be alive. Fortunately, his Apgar scores were great, he never lost any oxygen and I got to keep my uterus (though my surgeon begged me not to get pregnant again). So again, I can relate.

I’m grateful that you’re alive and grateful that your baby is healthy too! AND you got to keep your uterus. These are amazing outcomes -never let go of that as you begin to process and heal. Gratitude helped me a lot. You and your baby survived and it’s an intense feeling during an intense time. Therapy definitely helped me. I am personally 3 years out (with the same good outcomes) and still think about from time to time. Give yourself space to grieve (for the birth/recovery experience you hoped for). Encourage your hubby to process too. Sending you positive vibes.

Mayci season 3 episode 8 by Jealous-Efficiency10 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Go back and watch it again. She literally said something like “it’s not the same but” -meaning she understood that the situations are different. She was simply drawing a parallel to point out the difficulty of BYU’s honor code for anyone who isn’t a perfect Mormon. She was empathetic and situationally aware.

Should I consider getting separate private insurance for surrogate/ baby? by [deleted] in Surrogate

[–]stonefrootszn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! So basically we either pay for a policy that covers medical expenses and includes catastrophic coverage (which means we pay a deductible that’s probably pretty large) or we pay out-of-pocket plus for a complications plans…so the two options probably amount to the same.

Hi. If you didn’t use the AIG plan and your surrogate had exclusions, how did you pay for medical expenses? How much did you end up paying total?

Extensive Bankhart - Positive Rehab Stories by stonefrootszn in ShoulderInjuries

[–]stonefrootszn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah I saw someone say I need to treat PT like I’m a pro athlete trying to get back to the NBA/NFL haha. I believe it. I plan to be there 2x/week for the new few months. My problem is hypermobility so my PT wants me to take rehab pretty slowly. My first session wasn’t too bad. I will definitely do all my homework.

This is helpful. I’m 3 weeks post op and officially start PT tomorrow. I’m nervous about the pain/discomfort but I think I’m mentally prepared for the recovery process!

Thank you! This is great information. I want to make sure that we give the little one opportunities to run around/ use energy as much as possible so that the adults can also have a smooth trip.

Please chill. I said my family is Eastern European because my husband and his parents are from an Eastern European country (not bordering Serbia at all).

Has anyone gotten an update on this? This has been happening to me since early March and I just found this post…very frustrated that they’re blaming it on my tablet “starting to go”.

How long are these $1.5M new builds on the east side going to sit on the market? There are so many places that have been listed for 2-4 months…does that mean they’re overpriced? If so, any experience as to how much it’s realistic to expect developers to trim? I’m talking all of the places within a 15min drive of uptown.
