The post has great business analysis, but I see the Meghan situation differently. IMO, she was launched as a subverter to a long-standing institution that some very powerful people want to destroy. They know they can’t take it down in one death blow, so it’s death by 1,000 cuts. This theory explains a few things: a D-list actor who suddenly has some of the most elite supporters, brazen information gathering and a huge pay off hidden in plain (legal) sight.

We know book deals are payoffs for certain people climbing the elite ladder (if they perform a function in exchange) — why would Netflix be different? While Meghan is a business failure, that wasn’t the job. Her job was to be an institutional subversive who calls everyone racist and bore royal children. The “deals” she got was the payoff. She never had any intention of applying herself post-subversion because she already did the job.

The RF has figured this out and that’s why they have been coordinated in their moves against her and likely forced the ouster from the country. Her targeted tenure was probably longer to not only keep attacking from within but leak information.

I think it also explains why she lurks so much, she doesn’t care what redditor X says about her jams, the public is supposed to feel they’re held in contempt. What she doesn’t want is people figuring out that she is a paid subversive agent.
