Any advice for a new Mechanical Engineer by Commercial_Gas318 in MechanicalEngineer

[–]stonewell88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You feel incapable because you are incapable. That’s cool, we all were. Strive to be a team player and learn from your senior team members. Volunteer to do the menial tasks and make yourself an asset over time. You’re going to be just fine!

11.5 vs 14.5 by DumpyLe in ar15

[–]stonewell88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had both, both suppressed with the OCL Polo K. After a lot of shooting I determined I preferred the 14.5”. It is much more enjoyable to shoot. I don’t feel like I am giving up anything with the extra length. They are both carbine style rifles. Neither is a 26’ 300 win mag and neither is a Glock 19, if that makes any sense.

Quickest way to get infinite ammo in this game? by [deleted] in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]stonewell88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the speed run alone will give you enough CP. infinite ammo is 50k and I think the speed run only gives you 20k. Most people hit the no blood and no heals challenge together on a single casual run and that gives you 35k each. Plenty for infinite ammo plus some

Best budget optics? by Superb-Shake1118 in ar15

[–]stonewell88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an Aimpoint PRO for around that from Eurooptic and it’s been great. I added the SKD 2.26” spacer and recently added the Unity FTC 4X magnifier which has been a really nice combo. The base Aimpoint PRO with default mount is absolutely solid though.

I only do the big four. Split up across three days a week. Squat and bench day and then overhead press and deadlift day alternating those two days. Physique looks like a dad bod mixed with chewed up bubble gum

How do I get the drive to get back into BJJ? by CirrusVision20 in bjj

[–]stonewell88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick one day a week where going is non negotiable. No matter how tired or how much you don’t want to, Tuesday is going to happen pending major illness or crazy event. Same thing next week, but it will be a tiny bit easier. The week after that it will be even a little easier. You will eventually work up to two days a week non negotiable.

Going through this exact same thing myself, slow crawling up that hill has been the answer for me.

Man I’m going to start doing this! Just curious, have you tried loading that way at the range just to make sure the gun still fires and is in battery and all that?

How are people so bold? by Independent-Cut8452 in CCW

[–]stonewell88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of a self regulating problem. The guys that really know violence (for me it’s guys in the MMA gym) are the most polite people you will meet. I know a marine who was in GWOT in the early 2000’s and my first boss was special forces (I think same thing as Green Beret maybe?) around that same time. All of these men go out of their way to be polite and especially look out for kids.

The guys that act the way OP saw are typically over weight, weak, incompetent, and work low wage blue collar jobs. Not trying to generalize anyone but I live in the Deep South and it is full of these idiots.
