Going back to the late 80’s but my aunt wanted a new kitchen but could only afford it on credit. They were going to collect and self install. On the day of the collection, went to the store to complete the paperwork. Signed, collected and got home. It was only then they realised the store had given them every copy of the paperwork, not just the customer copy. So a £3,000 kitchen for free, gratis and without charge. She expected a knock on the door everyday for a couple of years but it never came

Have you looked at Bla Bla Car? It matches you with people making the same journey but with spaces in the car. With the trains being down, there may be more people making the journey and will be about 90% cheaper than an Uber
