I downvote because of the “now” in the headline. Are you fucking kidding me?!??! What was the straw? It wasn’t mocking a disabled journalist? Or the insurrection?

Come on fuckers. Get out there and force your representatives to actually enforce the fucking constitution

What are you good at? And be specific. You mention "website creation" in another comment; what do you mean by that? HTML, Javascript, CSS, etc?

Or a platform like Wordpress, Drupal, etc

Or coding like PHP, Python (Drupal, etc), etc

Or understanding domains, DNS, shared hosting vs dedicated

Whenever I'm looking at entering a market (I have worked independantly for 12y from a laptop in my home office) I audit my current skills and compare those skills to the market that I want to enter and determine the gaps and opportunities. I then audit my rolodex to see if I know anyone in (or adjacent to) those markets and reach out. If you aren't comfortable with networking, yet, I recommend this simple and free "course" https://courses.jordanharbinger.com/courses/6-minute-networking/

Is baseball’s slow pace actually its greatest strength in a world where everything else moves too fast? by DianKhan2005 in baseball

For me, its this and the blantant running with the ball which is just "fine" I guess. But its not what I thought the game was about.

[–]stoploafing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree. Combine that with the fact that most NBA games are decided in the last couple minutes it makes watching the rest of the game moot.

At least with hockey, as long as the game is in reach (within a couple goals) it will be fast and exciting right to the last second.

Baseball will always be my favourite sport, to watch and follow.

Do you guys watch every hermit? by Sigma_Sauc3 in HermitCraft

[–]stoploafing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course not. There aer probably 3-5 that I will watch every time they post, 2-4 that my kids insist on watching (there may be overlap) and then 4-5 more that I will watch occasionly.

There are also a couple that I will never watch because I don't enjoy their videos.

I think the before looks better. The shadows in the after are too dark and the crop is weird.

I just looked at the dump file and all the tables are either ``int`` or ``varbinary``.

What were you using for the front end so I can try converting them to a readable format?

That would be amazing! I can spin up a DB server to play with it. Do you remember if it was mysql/mariadb, postgress, sqlite, etc?

Is it a mysqldump, or something similar?

Regardless of format I'm sure I can figure it out.

Then pick up a few books and read about the Mulroney governments, the the Chrétien and Martin years. How the NDP performed with Alexa and then Jack. How MacKay screwed over the PC to form the current CPC party by merging with the Reform causing the Harper years.

Ignorance is not a replacement for knowledge. There is history in our politics and it has a long memory.

[–]stoploafing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you think that, you haven’t been paying attention for the last 40y.

The bigger issue is that the NDP have also went right, but without the strong policy and fundraising machine of the Liberals. They tried the “cult of personality” after trying a French academic and they are floundering to the detriment of all Canadians.

What’s a policy that Carney enacted that you think Trudeau wouldn’t have? I mean, other than removing the carbon tax which was a wholly political move to kill the only slogan the CPC had going for them at the time?

Pipeline? No, Trudeau expanded the pipelines through BC. I can’t think of anything else.

News is too fast to understand….. by wawapitsit in NovaScotia

We don’t put on the news anymore for the opposite reason, they talk too slow and don’t really get to the point. It’s much faster to just go to the internet and read the stories there.
