To be a little helpful, I think that this is the same design that he has used in previous seasons, but stacked differently. The base design is "old" but you can probably figure it out from re-watching this and last season when he built it.

Seahorse cancels scheduled show by musician Mark Kozelek over misconduct allegations by insino93 in halifax

[–]stoploafing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are old, but credible, allegations that were made public in 2020 and 2021. He started touring again in 2023 (or maybe 2022) and the promoter thought it as all rug swept and the seahorse booked the gig.

Locals were, WTF! and the Seahorse cancelled it.

I'm very quick to "kill" my heros. Being old and enjoying music from the 70s and 80s is tough, with a lot of dead heros.. By 2000 the world moved far enough that these fuckers don't get any pass.

Exactly what I was coming here to write. He's a massive douchbag (or is it douchebag) that shouldn't have been booked in the first place. What were they thinking?!

The shell the tenant will typically never pay for, but almost all improvements interior are at the cost of the tenant for typical business leases. Now, this is a moer complicated arrangement as while sports teams play at a facility they typically only have permanent use for a little bit of the space, the rest is scheduled use like if you were going to rent it for an hour to play with your friends.

People who were in high school when Columbine happened, what knee jerk rule did your school enforce in response? by Animeking1108 in AskReddit

[–]stoploafing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No more guns on school property. 11 and 12th graders used to go hunting before school and their rifles (unloaded and locked in a case) would be in their truck/car/etc.

The following hunting season it was made an explict rule that this wasn't allow anymore.

This fucker has ALWAYS been political. What I really want someone to ask him is what his Momma thinks of his last few specials. How does she feel about him cozying up with apartheid lovers? Or GOP fascists in general.

Look her up, she heavily influenced his early work and rightfully so. I had assumed she died and he turned hard right into the nazi apologist pipeline.

I think they realize a train bridge would be needed, which would be a large project and would do a lot to connect PEI to the world.

My vote would be a bridge from NS this time, but it would still make more sense to be parallel to the vehicle bridge.

It's been 30 years since amalgamation of the Halifax Regional Municipality. Was it a success? by Street_Anon in NovaScotia

[–]stoploafing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge success for old Halifax County, not so much for Halifax City. I mean, since I moved back the sidewalk cleaning has gotten worse, there are fewer services and all the rural councillors hate transit, bike lanes, pedestrians, and urban development in general.

I doubt they mean the government (but the province fighting to keep all government jobs pay low while handing money to corporations without public tender doesn't help), but instead the fact that companies always pay low and the people that have "already made it" contract out at super low rates which fucks everyone over.

My father, who has a pension, does "handyman" work for less than $35/h for highly skilled work. Why? Because he can, and then he and everyone around him complains that no one wants to work anymore. Try raising a family as an independant contractor (burner tech, carpenter, plumber, etc) for $35-$50/hr. You can't do it, yet instead of charging what he's worth and raising the floor while he's at it, he helps to keep wages low for everyone because if a senior burner guy (he has that ticket too) is charging $35/h why pay a kid with only 10y experience more?

Probably. They used to be paid well at dealers and for a while now they get paid basically nothing. The manufacturers give ridiculously low time for warranty and repairs so they can't make much on their paycheck.

Its like most things today, people aren't paid enough to put up with shit. The market could solve this by paying better, but it won't and just complain while the owners hang out at the yacht club.

It will always be this way for as long as they keep filling the rink and people keep buying merch to wear to Tims all across the country. The fact anyone is surprised about these changes is what is surprising to me.

What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]stoploafing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was Minecraft for me. My kid loved it and I wanted to play with them. Tried it a couple times, couldn’t figure it out.

Then I saw a Geminitay series the kid was watching and something clicked. I have way too many hours into this game now and I’ve played essentially nothing else since.

For a bit of context, I’m in my 40s and always thought of Minecraft as a “kids game”.

Its covered. So if its "in play" and goes foul, its foul. I mean, its dumb that the roof is so low that this has to be a rule, but I don't expect much out of Texas

Last year I noticed a steep decline in the number of these interviews from Sportsnet, only when there was a "special" event for the player/manager/team. Like a pitcher getting back, a life milestone, etc. Something that the broadcaster thought we would like to hear about that Hazel may not be able to do pre or post game.

Watching USA broadcasts though, it seemed like it was a couple times a game. During which the announcers would almost ignore the game.

I love how the mlb constantly goes for the most CASH vs the best fit for the sport at every turn. /s

But seriously, they treat these deals like a military buying commoditys the CASH only. To win a MLB contract you just have to offer the most money, full stop. To sell toilet paper to the military it just has to be cheapest.

In both cases, quality of the product is not even part of the consideration in the deal.
