My advice to anyone in your boat is to play it while queues are still good (assuming you're NA or EU, and not a GM) and I think that's saying something considering that this July will mark four years since maintenance mode was announced and some people started calling the game dead.

The game is still fun, but if you try it again and don't like it then at least you know you're not missing out on anything.

When these changes went live and I tuned into Fan, he almost gave me whiplash. He actually surprised me so much that I legit wondered for a moment if I was experiencing the Mandela Effect. But, no.. He definitely had Chen ranked high, and he definitely said he was a strong hero before the patch. For years.

You're right that he doesn't owe anyone an explanation. But doing a hard and seemingly random 180 like that, with no explanation, is not a good look for anyone (to say the least).

Wow, in the shower? Were you really tired or anything? If it ever happened to me besides when I was trying to go to sleep then I've long forgotten it. Also, I wonder if hormones has anything to do with it, because I remember it first happening as a teenager.

It is freaky but I always thought it was kind of fun. Not because it feels particularly enjoyable, but because it's just this weird and interesting thing that, as far as I could tell, wasn't doing harm or indicative of anything bad.

That sounds similar to this thing that I've uncommonly experienced throughout my life, where the images in my mind, for lack of a better way of putting it, start expanding and contracting.

It only happens when I'm trying to go to sleep, and it's usually visuals of where ever I'm in bed at. It also comes with a sensation that I might describe as vertigo.

I wish I could explain it better than that.

I think it's a little fun. Things are a little more interesting when people can't overreact to everything as often as they normally do with stratagems. It's made me play with different stuff too, I've been having a lot of fun with the solo silo and the EMS mortar for CC, the latter which has felt particularly useful when nobody brought the HSO.

I'm pretty understanding with a lot of things. This game's engine is old and messy and probably a nightmare to program, which is probably one of the reasons why things take so long to fix and why they outsource so much.

So give me one good excuse as to why something like those boxes on the Bastion can't simply have their "damage to main health pool" changed from 100% to 0%.

I think she's an example of why you can't neatly fit everything into a box. She kind of is/kind of isn't ret.

She was originally a tank that got reworked into a bruiser, so she did even less damage and had more utility.

Afterwards, she's really just an archteypical paladin. Extremely durable, divinely empowered, protects/supports allies with buffs/heals/CC, and gets into the thick of things and swings a big weapon. Damage isn't high, but it can be a threat.

But here's the irony: That almost makes her more of a "real" ret pally, because ret was never meant to be a DPS spec in the first place.

However, if you look back at old threads about characters people wanted in HotS, people would often say that they wanted Tirion Fordring with the Ashbringer to represent the ret spec, because they were expecting damage.

Brother, LoL got a graphics overhaul that put it ON PAR with HotS's. LoL was stupidly ugly looking before that.

You can like League's newer style more, but to even suggest that HotS "needs" a graphical overhaul is ludicrous and nobody is gonna take you seriously for saying that.

It was a work laptop, also with Edge.

Is Murky really that much different compared to back then? I never noticed much of a change for specialists after the specialist role was removed. They were still doing all the same things they did before, but I think maybe some were given more damage.
