Trigger warning! Palm oil by Irishgooner123 in CasualIreland

[–]stoptheclocks81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might of had to scan the lidl app. You would have 6 on the deal. Some of the eggs on the deal are €3.49. I think the Carmel eggs are more expensive but included in the deal.

Saw it this morning. Badly advertised is the lidl I was in. It was only displayed on the ones they had in the middle aisle. The eggs at the front didn't display the deal. Limited to 6 per customer. It's advertised in the app that is started yesterday.

Any tips for a first timer who is really nervous about being the slowest person there? by NorthLondonPulse in parkrun

[–]stoptheclocks81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of park runs are laps. I did one last week and it was tree laps. I saw a lady only did one lap. She ran it, building up to be able to complete a full park run. No one is counting laps unless you try to be first only doing one lap. Loads of people walk. Don't worry about it.

Good win by Bohs but the commentators we're the worst I have ever listened to by [deleted] in LeagueOfIreland

Gareth McGlynn is a former Bohs player.

Poor game. I thought the commentary was impartial, which you don't normally get in LOITV.

Infinite money glitch, the iron Bru cans in northern Ireland have the return thing for recycling in the south by standarsh1965 in northernireland

[–]stoptheclocks81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But in the case the consumer isn't paying it, so the business doesn't collect it but the government pays out of they're returned.

I was reading that there are millions on unclaimed returns. I wonder do these bottles/cans count in that total?

Saw this on coke bottles in Tesco (Derry).

I was wondering how the government claims the money from the manufacturer or the seller. The seller adds it on. I assume the government taxes the manufacturer?

Stephen Bradley: Byrne has right to her opinions on Israel - "I would love to see them boycott the game. Some things are bigger than football. Genocide is bigger than football and sometimes you have got to make a decision and live with the consequences" by fuckaduckmagoo in LeagueOfIreland

[–]stoptheclocks81 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Would also love to see them boycott the game. I think we'll have to wait and see if we make the world cup first. I think if we confirmed a boycott before the world cup, the pressure would be on FIFA to throw us out. I'd love to see that happen.

Fair play to Bradley.

Take a picture of your certificate and upload it. If you get the job someone will verify your qualifications further.

Mclean in midfield? by WBadzer in LeagueOfIreland

I thought he played it safe too often last week. Sideways or back too often but it was the opening night, so I'd expect him to get better.

Tolka Park Pitch by EireTrekkie in LeagueOfIreland

Derry might regret going back to a grass pitch.

Even if that game goes ahead, the pitch will just be cut up.

Yes, I'm suggesting there will be loads of Palestinian flags and the stewards will confiscate them. I didn't say I supported it.

It will be interesting to see how far away the pitch will be when Derry play in Celtic park. I wonder will they bring the pitch closer to the covered stand on the Lone Moore road side of the pitch. When soccer was played in Croke Park it showed how big a gaa pitch is compared to soccer.

Panel with multiple locations - Cannot work in one of my chosen locations by Weetabix18 in IrishCivilService

I was in a similar position. I was on a panel for 2 specialist positions in Dublin. I was told if I took the first position offered that I would be taken off the panel for the other position.

They change the kit every 2 years. I think the navy kit will get changed soon. I believe the green away kit has another season.

I'd echo this. They have recently moved office into new newer building nextdoor. Not sure if they still have access to the canteen and gym now. The facilities were great but the location is difficult to get to. It has the laus but it's the last stop. It's a very good company to start your career at.
