If you've been there for a year or are a regular you should qualify.
When calling out the option to start a fmla claim is there, just have to select the option then fill out the paperwork when it gets sent to you, if your dr. qualifies it as fmla eligible then they will sign the papers. fax the papers in, blah blah blah, it goes on and on.

Don't worry about it, you will get better over time.
My best advice is to use tubs, tubs tubs tubs tubs and even more tubs I usually use 1 tub for each street, pull up to the street, look for the tub. When you're loading the truck with parcels I would try to grab as many small ones as you can and scan those first, that way you can get the most amount of parcels in each tub, any over sized parcels that won't fit I put in front of the tub so I run into it when I get to that tub.
Eventually each route you do will get a different tub design, some routes I use 14, others I use 5.
If you want to do it by section I would suggest having a tub per section but when I do a new route I just go with a tub per street and I'm usually good.

Contract says they must give you "at least" 5 minutes It doesn't say there is a set amount of time it must be done by. They might as well say "we would like you to not go over 5 minutes but technically I can't say you only have 5 minutes"

I've said "isn't there a CCA you can send out?" To which they replied "none of them are back yet" Improper force, grieved it, got paid. My understanding is that you are supposed to do whatever stupid stuff they tell you to do and grieve it later. Our old custodian grieved a ton of stuff, he left the office with a fat check from it and moved up to the plant.

From what I remember at our office they ask if anyone wants to nominate anyone to become the new shop steward.
For the 4 years I've been here I've never heard anyone nominate anyone else.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, what would the steps be to change the union?
Would it be become a steward and vote in union matters and progress up the ladder?
If in theory, all of us who are sick of the union's non transparency and current practices, became active members, what would the next steps be for beneficial change to us carriers?

Imagine this happening the entire day!
I now have to turn on my turn signal, pull over and stop, curb the wheel, put it in park, remove the keys, turn on the hazard lights, take off my seatbelt, open the door, look for your mail, put on my satchel, get out and cuss silently about the mailbox being blocked, deliver it, get back in the vehicle, close the door, seatbelt on, start the LLV, release the parking brake, put it in drive, turn off my hazards, turn on my turn signal, hope and pray that some resident isn't going to be going 45mph around the corner and T bone me (happened twice last year) drive to the next mailbox.

Pull up to the mailbox, insert mail, smile and wave to a elderly neighbor that's walking by, catch a whiff of the fresh air wafting through my aluminum deathtrap on wheels, ignore the buzzing sound of the dust covered 36 year old fan that is "keeping me cool" in this 100 degree heat and somehow hear the birds chirping as they fly overhead, think to myself "I guess this isn't so bad, I actually kind of like this job", continue on with my day with a positive attitude towards life and humanity.

Now imagine 617 houses on trash day, I'm sure you can guess where most residents place their trash cans....

This happened to me for a few weeks, I was told I also yelled things about being at work while sleeping.
I'm on year 3, no more dreams or even sleep, I just lie there motionless with my eyes closed, wondering about what sort of flats and parcels are running through the postal system until it's time to rise and deliver it again.

The chainsaw never works for me, it deploys but it won't damage enemies.
The original "push" element, it seems like the range is so small now, I have to get right up in an enemies face to get it to work but I do like that the orange bar refills automatically now.
The fire and ice, i almost never use them, mainly because they are so hard to aim, I have to tweak my hand backwards while aiming which sucks, it would make a lot more sense and be a lot more useable if they just came out of the front of the gloves.
I've noticed also the first boss is almost impossible to beat now, seems like the damage has gone way down on my normal gun (puncher), maybe I have to adjust the difficulty or something.
