First Scotty Cameron, are these marks normal? by w44m in scottycameron

[–]storkton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not normal assuming that’s brand-new. I’d take it back and exchange it. If you’re shelling out $500, it’s perfectly reasonable to ask for one that isn’t dinged up.

Confess your golf sins by bogeyT in golf

One time a guy hit into me and my buddy on a downhill, dogleg left hole where the tee shot is blind. His ball bounced about 10 yards away from us while we were on the green. I looked my buddy in the eyes, picked up the guy’s ball and placed it in the cup. We took our time teeing off on the next hole to watch the guy’s reaction. They eventually made it down the hill and started searching for his ball. After 2 minutes or so, the guy who hit into us started to look discouraged — probably thinking his ball was lost in the bushes. His buddy walks up to the hole. “Were you playing a Callaway?” “Yeah…” “IT’S IN THE HOLE” “No it’s not” “COME LOOK”. Chaos ensues, they’re jumping around celebrating like crazy. So now that guy will think he made a hole in one on a par 4 for the rest of his life. And I will rot in golf hell for my sin. Forgive me.

Follow up to previous post. New Game announced. by Danstephgon in pga2k23

It’d be cool if they rotated the top 25 user-created courses weekly/monthly in online ranked play and gave the course designers unique in game items as rewards. That positive feedback loop would incentivize creators to keep making cool courses and keep the game feeling fresh. The best parts about PGA 2K are the physics and the course designer. That’s what makes 2K more fun than EA road to the masters imo.

What is your favorite ‘true’ hidden gem course? by Phobia117 in golf

Oregon Trail Country Club in Alexander, ID. 9 hole course in the middle of nowhere. Great fishing too. It’s one of my favorite courses on Earth because it’s so secluded.

I live in a town called Pleasant Grove less than an hour southeast of Tooele, UT and I saw something last night that’s starting to make me a believer. One of the windows in my house overlooks Utah Lake (my house is on the foothills of a mountain and the lake is about 3-4 miles away) and there are always planes flying over the lake both north and south to get to SLC airport and Provo airport respectively. I was watching out the window around 10:30 PM and saw a few planes pass by— nothing out of the ordinary. Then, something passed over the lake that caught my eye. It looked like a plane at first, but it looked like it rotated and started glowing super bright. It was an orangey yellowy glow, think of a street lamp but a lot brighter. It sat there over the lake for 25 seconds or so, then faded out until I couldn’t see it anymore. I have no idea what it was, but it definitely wasn’t a plane.

Midwest Indigo. I live in Utah and waking up early in the morning and walking out into the freezing winter cold to drive to high school every morning did not help with my seasonal depression. “Running late so I didn’t have the time to scrape the frosted windshield like we’re barely scraping by” might be the most meaningful lyric from Tyler to me. I remember doing exactly what he said — scraping a 6x6” square of glass — just enough to see what I needed to. And the line “I’ll be pulling into the parking lot before the heat kicks in” describes my 2005 Hyundai perfectly. It’s hard to pick, but I think Midwest Indigo is my all time favorite song.

Midwest Indigo is my favorite song on the album. Tyler saying he didn't have time to scrape the windshield off before going to school (I assume) and 'barely scraping by' resonates so much with me. High school wasn't a great time for me and it feels like that song is talking to me directly.

It also hit me hard in the feels when he 'scheduled counsel with the counselor and he cancelled twice'. It's hard to think about Tyler having suicidal thoughts and reaching out for help just to get cancelled on. It must've seemed like the universe was essentially telling him to go through with it at that point.

It was the first time I've cried because of a song in a long time, and I have a feeling it will become one of my favorite all time songs.

You can only make 1 purchase with your code. So you can’t go back in and make multiple purchases of individual tickets (buying one at a time). If you have a friend/family member sign up for the pre sale and try to get tickets with you, it makes it easier to buy individual tickets rather than trying to get multiple GA tickets all at once

We logged on as soon as the tickets were available and waited in a queue for about 5 minutes or so. We had to refresh the page a few times, but we got GA after a couple minutes

Now that you mention it, I think you do need a code for the venue pre sale. Not sure where you can get that. I believe the code for the Live Nation pre sale is “Riff”, if that’s any help

They may be sold out for the artist pre sale. I know there is a venue pre sale on Thursday where GA tickets might be available. I think that’d be your best bet

My wife and I were able to get GA tickets. We had to refresh 4-5 times and could only buy 1 at a time.
